Ive said it before and Illsay it again..You cannot compare TT small displacement Jap cars to big displacement american NA cars..
Sure it was a 520 rwhp 3100 pound vette verses a 510 rwhp 2400 pound s2000 and by all intents and purposes on paper the s2000 has a HUGE power to weight advantage..But what paper dosent show is that in the real world the instantaneous power/torque of the american NA monster will often times beat the more powerful power to weight smaller displacement TT Jap car...
You can call it boost lag or no power under the curve or a 100 different excuse....I call it No *****...As the Z06 climbs out a car to car and a half with it's bowling ***** dragging behind...
God bless american muscle!

Brake boosting in some cars can be the difference between winning by 5 cars and losing by two.

No Jap car has nearly enough RAW WHEEL HORSEPOWER to take down good ol' fashioned 'Merican Muscle!

They also make power out until 9k which makes for very good powerband for a 4 cylinder.

Yeah, I question him doing a 55mph roll... if you noticed, he shifted to 3rd almost immediately. IIRC 2nd gear in a stock-redline S2000 is done by 62-63mph. So I would have either started at 50mph, or 60mph if I had been him. Good races OP, badass Vette

When you've got a small motor and a big turbo, brake boosting and no-lift shifting are needed to keep the car in boost. That S2k spends half its time trying to re-spool after the shifts.
BTW, lol @ Killemall saying that S2K has no *****. Since when is running with a 520whp Z06 gutless?

Dont get it twisted...the s2000 is fast..But ive ran neck and neck with that same Z06 numerous times...Befre the headers I could run pretty even with him...Now were both guessing i would be 1-1.5 cars back just like the s2000 since he added the headers for 520 rwhp verses 505 rwhp when I raced him..
im gonna look it up but to me their is no reason a 507 rwhp 2xxx pound s2000 should run even with my 480 rwhp 3300 pound car...Or loose to the 520 rwhp 3150 pound Z06..
It should put 4 cars on me and 2 cars on the Z06..But those laggy turbos just never do what I would expect...fast car..Just not as fast as it should be...
Honestly throw a cammed LS7 at 507 rwhp in that S2000 and watch him just run away from rsky's Z06..That turbo set up just cant do that despite the same rwhp readings...

I looked upo the weights..
c6Z06=3155
s2000=2855
So any way you wanna sklice it the s2000 was only down 13 rawwheel horse power and had a weight advantage of 300 pounds...By the numbers oand on paper it should have won...but thats the beauty of american muscle. It gives it all to you right now.

Oh killemall...
You tried to explain the viper losing to me in my thread with the same logic.
If a car stays in its powerband, regardless of how small it is, it doesnt matter how wide the others is

First off FAST S2K. Seriously quick.
Now for all the back and forth abotu brake boosting... Where is brake boosting a car that was spinning without doing it going to help?
Eitherway IF i could fit in a S2K i woulda gotten one a long time ago.
In ANY race anywhere, driver mod can have as much or more of an outcome on a race then overall car mods. The fastest car in the world driven by a moron who slow shifts and doesnt know how to launch will lose to a much slower car with a MUCH better driver!
