Default 99 z28 vs Genesis

Some time last week I was running across town to get some tractor parts and was tAking full advantage of what looks to be the last chance to use my t-tops for the year. As I turned out of the neighborhood behind work onto the two lane road to go across town I seent a real nice Lookin black import on some shiny wheels stuck at the light to go the same direction as me, I don't real know imports and I thought it was a tiburon With a body kit. I've got business to attend to so I just go about my way. We both get stopped atthe next light but still don't have much intention to race I take off like normal shifting at two grand but when I shift into forth he flies up beside me and let's off making a bunch of blow off valve noise. I notice some 2.0t decals and after we go through the next light we slow to around thirty and race,I started in second cuz u didn't wanna spin and then have to shift almost immediately.we went from thirty to about eighty and I had pulled two and a half links on him and let off. I could not get him to rub from a dig a few stop lights late I stayed back to talk to him he was pretty cool he asked what I had done when I replied lid and catback he told me he gets good gas mileage so I told him I get 23-24all the time on that note he rolled his window up before I could ask what his mods were

genesis coupe are turboed. and yes they are 2.0 liters, you can get them ina V6 too.

It imagines the base Genesis coupe with its 2.0-liter turbocharged four as a blank canvas for tuners and speed-widget makers chasing the young buyers who will be hooked by the turbo’s $22,750 starting price.

And not very impressive at all.

Leave it alone, and the 2.0T with a six-speed manual makes 60 mph in 7.0 seconds and turns the quarter-mile in 15.3 at 92 mph.

You are correct it was not very impressive at all and had I known what it was before hand I would have let him go, but since he asked for it and I gave it to gin I figured I'd share

Bone stock they aren't. I believe AMS only trapped mid-upper 90's in the 1/4 stock. Something about the DBW throttle body causing the car to bog between shifts.

I test drove a 2.0T Track, nice car but it was dog slow. Also, the clutch & shifter setup was not at all to my liking. Made it very hard to drive fast. 200hp isn't much, so I assume this guy had some good stuff done to it....which seems probable seeing as it would be the tuner's pick (turbo + RWD).

Good kill.

I didn't even see this post, but it makes perfect sense as to what I felt. Couldn't explain it, so I chalked it up to the clutch and/or shifter combo.
