95 Trans Am v. 2003? Mustang Mach 1

Nice kill, but I'm going to have to also say that you beat the driver. Even you said that the kid looked like he ''had more money than brains''. lol and that 400 lbs fat man was costing you about 40hp none the less.

TBH i believe the kid, i live in oklahoma too about 2 hours south of him in Tulsa, Alot of the mustang guys around here cant drive. Period. When i had my Lt1 with a catback and a 355 in it i walked a modded Mach1 around here from a 20 roll, license plate says "Mach1ne" and the car is quick, i have seen it run plenty of times, just never ran me. So yes i believe the kid won, was it a drivers race? Probably. Was it a rich kid in a mommy/daddy car? Probably. But welcome to Oklahoma lol!
Nice kill! If you ever wanna run some fast mustangs i can think of like two locally that i know pretty well if you wanna come play pm me :]

I've owned two Mach 1s, both 04s and both sticks. I ran both of them at my local track a few times. My first bone stock 04 with just a drop in filter went 13.3 (can't remember mph) on less than decent street tires in good weather. My second 04 with 410s, x-pipe,, catback, can tune, spacer and cai went 12.7 on et streets with a lazy 1.89 60ft. I didn't have the money at the time to replace it if it broke so i walked it out the hole. With a strong launch and a 1.60 60ft I think the car would have gone at least a 12.50, maybe .40. Oh, it had welds on it also, 15x4 and 15x8s

No one is discrediting the mustangs here, especially myself, i love me some Terminators :] But i am merely saying around here alot of people have "Fast" Cars... It gets old, unless i have seen it run or its blown i dont wanna race it lol

Maybe it was a Mach 1 and maybe it was a fake, but regardless, it sounds like the guy either couldn't drive or pussed out and considering he was the one giving the look (according to the OP), then I'd chalk it up as a win either way.
It's perfectly reasonable for someone who has no clue what they're doing in a manual Mach 1 to lose 3 cars to an LT1 from a dig. Those LT motors are strong down low and your average high school kid in a fast car doesn't know what they're doing. Blow the tires off for a second or two and then short shift second slowly and that's 3 cars right there.
Bottom line, the driver is usually the big factor in these stories. I'd chalk a story like this up to the drivers before assuming that the guy did a full fake Mach 1 swap with shaker hood and all.

Good kill. I don't see why people keep saying it's a drivers race with the mach and an LS1. It's not! I've spanked so many like nothing. Even my friends with LT1's spank them. Not saying they are slow but it's just not a good match with the LS1. I think a slightly modded LT1 would be a great race for the mach one. Plus isn't a mach1 rated at 305hp? And the ram air at 305? WAIT!! it's a 95 TA? They didn't come ram air until 97 again... Double check, u must have an aftermarket hood that was put on by a previous owner... So now I'm doubtful about being a true mach1. Maybe a clone mach1. Why? Because OP barely knows what he is driving. :/
Well maybe you have but unless you are running in the 12's stock, you were not going to "spank" a MACH 1. Maybe an automatic or an M5 with a bad driver.

LS1 is a good race for a MACH, however, an LT1 is not. Had races with both and the LT1 did not put up a good fight. I am not ripping into the LT1, that is just how it went down.
Here is a MACH with an LS1...no spanking going on for either..
Once modding begins, it just depends on who has more money..

Camaro Z28 A4:
- 3.73 gears
Mach I 5M:
- X-pipe
- Tune
Both cars were pretty much neck and neck. A 6M LS1 will put a couple cars on a Mach I.
