Cool Killed a Caddy

This really isn't anything suprising, knew I'd win, but the guy was just too big of a douche to let go. (Cliffs at bottom)

So I am coming home from class, and this STS cuts me off not once, but twice. No, not even an STS-V, just aN STS (V8, 07ish model). First time was at a stopsign, leaving campus, the next was when we were out of the road headed home.

Since I was already pissed about being cut off twice, once I saw a break in traffic open up, I gave him a small 4th gear pass (~45mph) just to put some noise in his ear. He has a car in front of him, yet he decides to give it some gas right enxt to me to show me how badass his big bad Caddy is. I give him the same type of pass, but look over this time to see who the douche was. He's the kid that sits next to me in one of my classes. Now I was intrigued. he does a faster fly-by this time, almost ramming the car in front of him. That car slows down and forces him back to me. I give him a healthy 4500rpm rev to let him know he's a bit out of his league. Just by (perfect) chance, the car next to him throws their blinker on. I saw this, and knew that once they turned, he'd nail it. Car starts to get over, I roll my window down to hear him hit it (even though it's like 30*), and since traffic is clear in front of us, we're good to go.

We are side by side and I already had the car primed and ready in 2nd around 45mph, great for me. I hear his car downshift, and go WOT. I left his for dead, grab 3rd for a little extra ego smashing and let off around 80, a bus or more in front. It was in a bad area for cops, so I didn't feel the extra embassment was worth the fines I would see for 60+ over the speed limit.

I decided to slow down, and rub it in a little bit. As we are closing the gap, him coming frmo behind, me slowing down from in front, I notice his front end buck up just as he is next to my door. I throw it back into 2nd, put him at my bumper real quick before the end of 2nd and let off. He just stayed in it and flew by me.

About a 1/2 mile down the road, he is stopped at a light where I am turning right. I decide to go extra slow when I pass him to make the turn, give him an extra big smile and "friendly" wave and he just gives me this "How the **** did that happen?" look. That will sufficient enough response for me.

Should make for an interesting class on Thursday.

CLIFF NOTES: Wanna-be-thug classmate of mine from across the border in a V8 STS picks on me, gets stomped twice.

Very nice, always good to shut down tools who don't know any better.

I had a similar story with an STS, except mine involved power sliding onto the on-ramp past a cop.

That sounds like one hell of a story.

I seem to get more than my fair share of tools. I think it is partly due to my car making noise when I pass them, so they assume I am ***** to the wall trying to pass them and they floor it to show off their race car. I've had this happen with sooo many trucks it's unbelievable.

Good kill. A friend of mine has an STS-V and it's no joke - but an NA Northstar, probably the fastest car that guy has ever driven

Basically, to fund a turbo project that I'd like to have by next summer. I'd buy a cheap sub-$1,500 beater and drive that for a year and then take a loan on another f-bomb. If I waited long enough (2 years), I might be able to build a 370 or bigger to go along with it. keeping this car slows that down, and I'm not that attached to it so I'm fine selling it to speed the process up.

Nice to lay an *** whoopin on some punk that thinks he's fast. I was at that point too a ways back, but after that happens a few times you learn quickly not to be a D bag and try to race everything in sight. Better post a follow up of how class went, and the awkward silence that ensued!

Don't you be copying my build. You going to stick with a 4th gen when the time comes for the build?

And I just realize you drive a camaro yet your name is WSsick?

End questioning...

Gotta run to class for a test, but the quick answer is no I won't be.

SBE with arp hardware in a 4th gen. KYTurbo's kit but with a PT88, 317 heads, custom grind cam, new VT, etc. More details when I get back.

WSsick is when I joined, and was deadset on a ws6 (for about a month, then gave it up).

Ahh, gotcha on the user name lol. Sounds like a healthy build plan. Maybe you can even put it in a WS6

As long as it goes in an LS1 f-body, I could care less. Formulas are starting to grow on me, so pretty much anything will work. I have it pretty well budgeted out, and about $9,000 should cover everything from the kit, to gaskets to tune to boost controller, etc. If I stay loan-less until summer ('12), I might be able to squeeze in a forged 370ci. Then I can really turn up the boost! (and grenade the T56 ). It'll be a roll machine mostly, and street digs, considering the track closed over here so a new rear isn't in the plans. I really want to do E85 too, more boost at cooler temps saving the stock bottom end (for a little while anyways).

The PT88 seems somewhat overkill for a 6 speed 346, but I could care less about instant spooling. I'll spin it to 6800-7000, so 2k+ rpms of pull time should be more than enough. Besides, I plan on shooting for 750+ down the road, so I might as well have a turbo that can do both.

I got the plan down pretty well, now I just need the funds to start rolling in.

That 88's gonna hit HARD when it hits. I wanted a 76 because the normal 70 on a 5.3 seems a little small and I want to be able to throw a forged 6.0 bottom end in down the road and not have to upgrade my turbo. Loan free is the best way to do it too. I havn't used anything but money out of my pocket for my build and it feels damn good. Last big expense is the paint job and I already have the cash saved up for that, so I'm pretty much in the clear.

I don't plan on mine being much of a track car either. Mostly roll races and occasional dig runs. I'm praying the 10 bolt holds up for a little while at least since I really don't feel like dishing 2K on a 9 inch. I'll keep my eyes open for your build. Seems like a lot of people are going turbo these days.
