Hate to magazine race but I don't have any of the data collected from my old LT1 SS. Here is MotorWeek '96 SS running a horrible 14.0 but trapping 104mph.

You are a fool to think they mean ****. All Ive owned is f bodies my entire life and believe me the WS6 is no faster than the Formula and the SS is no faster than the Z28. It was a gimmick by GM to charge more money. You have no idea what you are talking about. As a matter of fact my 01 WS6 dynoed within 1 HP of my friends 01 T/A on the same dyno back to back.

The "free-flowing" intake and exhaust were a joke (unless they were SLP options), the "short shifter" was still like rowing a boat, the suspension/chassis upgrades included a 2mm bigger front swaybar, less shitty, but still horrible revalved decarbon shocks (unless again you get an slp optioned car with bilstiens which were good for a factory shock). The larger/wider wheels were the only thing that made a noticeable difference.
If you want to talk in terms of factory options, the 1LE option was the only one worth a damn IMO because you actually got good suspension out of that, with a lighter weight package.

Sounds like you've never owned an Fbody...

And to say "unless they were SLP options" makes it as clear as daylight you have no idea WTF your talking about. SLP designed the intake themselves dodo head, as well as the 2 on the Left cat-back. No need to take it any further with you.
The next person that tries to debate utter non-sense with me HAD BETTER OWNED A LT1 SS!
