Just saying, i know its kinda bench racing, but its somewhat explanatory.
A 2v with full bolt-ons run in the 12s. Come on guys, even the Mustang boards know more about Fbodies then a lot of you guys know Mustangs.

http://forums.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=998283

Went to the track Saturday made a few passes and came out with a 12.77 @ 106!!

mods:

4.10s, full exhaust, intake with plenum, built rear (<--- Note, not full bolt-ons)

1.74 60'
8.13 @ 86
12.7 @ 106

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbQKL5aM5DI

So if a partial bolt-on 2v can take most stock LS1s. A full bolt-on one surely can.

Obviously you're just lying Livernois. Because only bolt-on GTs get into the 13s ;-)

(hope you noticed the sarcasm)

I just want to note, in this thread a lone there have been 3-4 people to have gotten 13s in the 1/4 in a stock 2v. And this isn't even a Mustang board.

But it rarely happens!!11

Local '11 GT went 10.98 with headers (stock catback), tune, 125 shot and drag radials. Then again, he was doing mid-high 11's on just the headers/tune/dr's.

"With a good driver a 99-04 gt can run high 13's to low 14's stock."

"A 99-04 mustang gt with a stick does not run a 14.7.The driver must suck. That is what an auto vert gt would run.94-98 gt's run 14.7's not a 99-04.If you don't believe me go over to the mustang fourm and ask.Just about everyone there will say the same high 13's to low 14's for a 99-04 gt manual with a good driver"

"forgot to mention i also pulled a 13.91 at 100 stock with sticky tires. 1.53 sixty foot"

http://www.automotiveforums.com/t224...gt_5_spd_.html

"Significant engine tuning on the '99 4.6-liter modular V-8 has lessened our "all bark, no bite" criticism of Mustangs since '94. At the drag strip, the '99 GT's performance numbers, though great for a Mustang, are still not tops in this muscular crowd. Yet, 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds and a 14.0-second/100.2-mph quarter-mile run is as good or better than any stock Mustang we've ever tested, Cobra or not. "

Still never got my videos Kevin. Just admit you couldn't find as many (any?) like you thought you would be able to find.

I am sure if I really wanted to spend a lot of time doing searches I could ;-)

Heck next time I take my car to the track I'll do as many videos as you want.

I was just showing how common the 13.9 was ;-)

I know that 2V's can get in the 13's stock. My buddy had a 99 GT Coupe that went 13.99 stock.

It wont matter Stop. In a year from now, a bunch of newbs will pop up and the same thing will happen.

Not saying I've a "veteran" around here. I'm surely not.

Just wanted some vids that's all. Like I've said 1000x, I know they can run 13s. Wouldn't mind seeing a vid of yours in action this season though.

We just got a decent video cam actually. It might happen. But it wont be stock. I already have a MGW STS, and about to put a midpipe and exhaust on.

Run it once again with the STS only and then run it with the midpipe and exhaust. Would be a good video tutorial of the gains in ET/MPH from minimal bolt-ons

What I am saying is, I will probably will have said exhaust on before it gets racing weather. Believe it or not the short throw does make things a bit more fun and easier. I wonder if it actually effects 1/4 time that much.

I MIGHT get 5-7rwhp from the exhaust tops.

If I were you my goal would be 13.3 with ONLY mods you mentioned. Then I would throw axles, struts and launch springs, UCAs, and some 17" DRs and then hit 12's and shut alot of people up. But thats me...

13.3 with just a shifter/exhaust might be impossible... now with shifter/exhaust/4.10s, it'd be a bit easier. And still impressive.

It was almost 11 years ago, but if I remember correctly, it was pretty frigid outside... but it still did it.

I have no doubt. I've seen a couple run faster than 13. I am just humoring myself.
