Some of us just like being more involved in the driving experience than putting a foot down, others want to be consistent or don't like/can't drive a stick so they buy autos. Opinions are what make the world go round.

They should be worried, because they finally got a good competitor.

That depends on what the DA was when you ran the time in your signature... cuz that is squarely in the sights of a bolt-on GT.

Really? You feelt the need to bring that subject back? Alright well since you obviously did it with a purpose, I'll play. It is harder to get the best and be consistent with a manual. Why do the overwhelming majority of drag racers drive autos? You know the answer. They are not hard to drive, well maybe for you, but they are hard to keep consistently good for a great number of us. Like I've said before, some of us want to do more than put 1 foot down once. Others happen to like the ease of use and consistency of the autos. There is more to life than drag racing, so I want a car I enjoy the other 99% of the time. Hell, I love being so involved with what my car does. It shows whether or not my skills are up to par, and as of now they are not. But I would never sacrifice the fun for the 1% of the time. Some people genuinely find autos fun to drive, and that's their opinion, which is fine by me.

No worries here. I know I'll be looking at the ugly tails. Wannabe owner? Maybe.

Its gonna take more than bolt-ons to run with an LS1 that's "serious" - like mine.

Then all the nut buggers will go crazy with all the excuses.

J/k

On a side note, give me some specs on the final combo my friend. Most importantly what cam did you decide to go with (lsa please?). Gavin over at LS1.com told me you made it into the 10's on motor which is where im trying to go with mine. Then maybe some low 10's on the spray would be nice.

I won't get into all the details,
but in short:
.010" LS1 block, DM Performance main Girdle
Lunati 347 Pro Series rotating assembly, 11:1 comp
Ported LS6 oil pump, LS2 timing chain
EPS Custom Cam, PAC springs
ETP 215cc Heads Ported by RHRE in Sacramento
Mamo-ported LS6 intake, full bolt-ons, 1-7/8" Headers
TNT F2 Wet Kit (planning on 150-175 shot)
tuned by Keith @ Force Fed Performance in Roseville, CA

on motor - 471/440 (cut-out open) on FFP's dyno through a T-56, 12-bolt & 3.90's. Went a best of 10.91@127 @ SRP in +98 DA. Nitrous numbers coming soon.

I am pleased with the numbers especially from such a small cam. I'm planning on picking up a used FAST 90 or 92 setup and porting it within the next couple months. Should make a huge difference, maybe i'll see 500whp on the dyno. Geoff at EPS is a great guy to work with, and the guys at ET Performance make some of the best LSx heads IMO.

Nice numbers there Mike! My car put down a tad more than that on the stock bottom end...but that was with fully ported AFR's and a ported FAST through a 10-bolt and 3.42's! Still running the stock flywheel? And what clutch ya running?

At the time of the dyno it had an LS7 clutch. It's now got a McLeod Street-twin with Fidanza alum. flywheel. The street twin is like night and day over the LS7. Much better engagement.

Actually he doesn't...not anymore atleast. I bought this intake from a member on LS1.com that bought the intake already ported by Tony back in '04/05. I think the ported gains were maybe 5-10 more not much over a untouched piece. A regular LS6 manifold would have done the trick just fine for me, this one just happened to be ported.
