2 fun kills for me Warning: this is long.
Was going down the road about 2 this afternoon when i noticed a clean maroon notchback 5.0 with cobra rims at the stop light ahead of me. Well we get back in traffic and are next to eachother and the car's start to clear. I put it into 2nd at 45 and bumped the gas a couple times to get his attention. He doesnt even look over but drops a gear and i was listening to his car cause it was making a whineing sound like a supercharger, then he takes off. I give chase and put about a half car mid way through 3rd gear. He slows down as soon as i get the half car on him. I follow him into a parking lot and ask what is done. He was probably mid 30's guy. He wasnt too happy about some 18 year old punk in a black t/a pulling on his slick 5.0. But he kinda says cocky like that its stock with headers and exhaust. I asked him if all stock 5.0's come with superchargers. He then gets a big grin on his face and says no. But it had a vortech 6psi supercharger he said. Dont know of anything else. But it ran pretty good. He said he got a 13.3@103. my best is a 13.7@105. So that explains my slow pull on him.
Then about 7:30 tonight driving down some old long road going home. I realized i was doing 45 in a 55. Then a car passes me and it was a old red dodge challenger r/t. So i follow him at about 75 in a 65 til we get to the last straightaway before our road intersects with the interstate. And i drop it into 3rd and start to pass him and i hear him get on it so i nail it. Grab 4th and still pullin on him. Go to 5th and by 135 i had about 2 cars on him. So he follows me down the interstate and takes the same exit which is an old access road that never gets used anymore. It is also the road that all the local kids drag race on. It is about 5 miles of flat striaight road with no turns anywhere on it. I pull into the wrong lane and he pulls up next to me and we stop. The girl who is with me realizes that its one of her dads friends and we sit and talk for a while til a car starts coming behind us so i slowly take off when i hear his car suddenly roaring up next to me so i nail it and miss 2nd
. I get it into 2nd a sec later and match his speed. i start to catch up and pass him. by about 110 i had 3 car's on him. His car is a 70' challenger that has a 383 magnum with a small cam and a 650 holley and aluminum intake. It had a 727 trans with shift kit and 2500 stall. He said his carb was screwed up and thats why it wasnt running too good. But either way it was alot of fun. Sorry it was so long. But i havent had a kill in a long time. talk to u guys later.
