I don't get how people don't understand what lemons is saying. Even at the track the boatloads more torque the ZR1 puts down come in early and in force, not too mention the 133 more hp. All that on runflats means an AVERAGE driver will spin his nuts off. All it takes it a little spin from the ZR1 and the tamer Z06 can make up the difference (can't believe I said a Z06 is tamer than something ).

When you are talking big power, big traction issues usually follow...especially on true street tires.

I think the problem comes in when you have one group making the argument based on how the cars perform and another group making the argument based on how the drivers perform.

My god... Is this someone with some common sense in the SRK?
There are VERY VERY few people that understand this here. THANK YOU!!!!

When talking averages you can't talk about JUST the car, you have to take into consideration the driver, YOU HAVE TO. It wouldn't be an average if you just took the good drivers or just the performance of the cars.

And I didn't watch that video.. But if you want me to believe that a H/C C6Z and a Zr1 are a neck and neck race or something along those lines....

EDIT::: Nevermind, I know that video... The Zo6 absolutely mudered the Zr1, and came back to it very quick when it got the hit. Are you really trying to prove something to me here or just bull shitting?

Thanks for showing me which car is (Faster), and roll videos.
However, I am talking about how quick the cars are, from a dig.

Averages is something you talk about when you are comparing drivers. Best performance numbers is what you look at when comparing cars.

This quote makes it seem like you were comparing the vehicle's capabilities, not what the average driver can get them to do:

Afterward you clarified that you were referring to what the average driver could do with both cars, but based off that quote I can see how people would think you just meant to compare the cars to each other.

I think that's the other issue here. You're talking about dragstrip performance and others are talking about pulling up next to a car on the highway. It's like one person is saying "pizza is the best food" and the other is saying "no it's not because the sky is blue". Two seperate situations based off how each person wants to measure performance.

Just my opinion from how I see it.

A ZR1 is like eating pizza when the sky is blue.

So, what were you saying about a good run?
An intake/full exhaust/tune '11 GT would be a good run with a stock LS3 Vette, ESPECIALLY from a dig. How is this something you can argue?

Yeah there's some valid points in here, but zr1 is still faster lol. I know what lemons is saying though . I actually consider the z06 less tame than a zr1 - one rides and handles like a dream while the other like a racecar (which is dreamy in another way )

Yeah I can see how that gets old for sure. I'm sure we will see more of these comments coming either way though lol.

ps. pardon the lack of multiquote.

I can't say from experience, but I'm guessing that this is an accurate statement

Burnt Rubber Pizza with extra octane.

@Irunelevens, how many carlengths difference does a 3mph usually equate to?

I still say regardless of 1/4 mile times, the Stang will not stand up to the Vette from a roll, not with just boltons that is.

A roll shows power, and for the sake of comparison lets say a 3 mph difference in a 1/4 mile.

Obviously the Corvette is the better choice, and the one I would choose in a heartbeat, but a bolt-on/tuned GT would still give one a good run.
Not with a bolt-on tuned Vette!!

I'd really like to see proof of that. All of the 10 sec runs recorded by Furman and "Z06jeff" were done on drag radials.

I think I'm done stressing the point that it will take more than boltons on a 5.0 to beat a decently driven LS3 Corvette, especially from a roll.... Sigh.

Guess I just got a hard on for those plastic rockets
