Out here in MD when F body LT1s were new if you couldn't get one(stock) to run 13s you were laughed at. C4 LT1s were a tad faster as well

14.0@100-102

LT1 cars were right there with them, albeit Cobras typically trapped a little higher on average.

The 96/97 LT1 SS went 13s regularly.

And you are calling others ignorant? LOL

Some of you lsx guys are pretty ignorant about any other car except for gm cars.

Give me that kind of DA and a bone-stock LS1 and i'd probably end up just a drag radial away from the 12's.
It's a shame that not everyone can drive like you

Do you have video proof of a stock LS1 beating a stock 98 cobra?

skip to exactly 2:38 second mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-A4lnkl528

They were still a ways off of the potential for a well driven 6spd LS1, but automatics were very close. As for LT1s, it was VERY close

Basically this.

Dude, the person you quoted and said this to, said they couldn't hang with LT1s. And then you say this;

I was at a 1/4 mile dragstrip when I ran my 11.81 thank you. If you ever bothered to look at other parts of ls1 tech you will find h/c ls1 cars that have run slower than mine and some faster. But I know you are the ultimate ls1 expert

You ford guys wanna change history so bad. Why dont you guys take a bow the new 5.0 has made up for the many non supercharged 4.6 mustang's that got there asses handed to them since the lt1 and ls1 debuted.

Its not that we want to change history. I kinda like it the way it is now. I get a big grin on my face when my 12yr old stock motor gets the win light against h/c/i LS1's or any car that has a 100rwhp advantage on me.

Its just you LSx guys blinders are sewn into your skin. Cut them off and see the whole picture in what it takes for any rwd v8 to be quick at the track. I don't hate GM (again used to own one). But its the blind loyalty I see time and time again that gets old.

Is it my internet brower or does any other peoples browser play the dueling banjo's when you enter this site?

EDIT: ok I am done. I'll let the thread die.

-Mark

I dont have to trailer my car to the track. I dont need bigs and litttles to run and have not taken any weight out. Oh by the way my motors never been out the car. How many motors have been been in your 5.0. And dont flatter yourself the 1995 mustang gt was a joke compared to 1995 camaros. And I'm talking about the new 5.0 being something to be proud of.
