No 2011 5.0's on your list? Too much for you to handle?

Those LT1 SS's are quick! I owned car number #337, 1996 M6. Bone-stock at Sacramento Raceway I went a PB of 13.60@105 and averaged 13.7-8. My best friend at the time had a Pacific Green 97 Cobra that was bone stock as well. He got a perfect view of my LT1 taillights every time. Miss that car.

Yep. My pops owned a 97 M/6, White/Orange Houndstooth-cloth interior scheme just like how the LT4-equipped cars came. He wen't 13.60/70s on a regular. Never did see him run 14-anything that entire night.

Don't underestimate those LT1's.

It's cute, like an adoptive father posting videos of his son, trying to convince himself he did the right thing.

Hey whatever makes you feel better. Ironically Stangbangers doesn't have one road test article on record for the 94/95. My guess is that's the Cobra no one wants to talk about.

^^The only FI Cobra that ran 15's off the lot right?

Kid, Kid.

Anyone who thinks LT1's won't go 13's stock are either in denial or just simply uneducated.

Yes that one. The one that was heavier than the previous model yet made less power (intake mani).

I remember back in 1996 MM&FF got a pack of them together stock or mostly stock. Most struggled to get out of the 15's. Even the editor was disgusted. LOL

The 94/95 was dissapointing for sure. I remember test driving a black '94 in 1997 that had something crazy like 6500 miles on it. After that I drove one of the Caprice-SS/Clone ex-cop cars and honestly it felt faster. I was very suprised. I ended up passing on both.

Do you try to be predictable or does it come natural? Notice how in most of my responses to your statements, I already say what I know you're going to say back? For a second I thought you grew up and saw it coming, but no you got me! The one time I don't, BAM personal attack on 95 Cobras (which coincidentally I drive). I keep tellin' ya man, we'll get 'em!!! Patience!

Yes, stock they were slow, and yes mine is slow, too, just not as slow...that will be changing once I get off these crutches from surgery.

Lol @ anything on here being "personal" Buuuut seriously though guys, we all know what was what. The old Mustangs were crap, and the new one is annoying jk . I do miss my old lt1 however, it had character and curb appeal for '95 imo...even if it did make you want to rock a mullet.

Most stock or close to stock LT1s I've seen at Gateway usually grab a 14 second slip. Obviously they can go 13s, but at our track, it took a couple mods. Lots of 6 speed guys can't drive here though, seen plenty of high 13/low 14 LS1s.

I wouldn't say they (LT1s) are 13 second cars stock, just because there's enough on the other side of the line to make it close, but it's not unreasonable to say they can go easily. Not going to watch the videos, but the times posted are mostly 96/7 SS's...we all know most LT1s are not 96/7 SS's. Let's see more Z28 times, or normal T/A times. It's like claiming high 12s out of LS1s, plenty have done it, just not enough to say it as a matter of fact.

As for the Cobras...well I don't have much experience with them so I'll stay out of that argument.

edit: These are more like what I see.
