99 SS vs Ion Redline **vids** (NOW WITH VEGAS VERSION)
Just got a friendly run together earlier this week with my friend and another guy's Ion. It made like 250whp on a very stingy Mustang dyno. Everything else is in the vid.

Got a rematch coming tomorrow night, as well as a lot of other races since we are getting a little meet together. I'll be getting plenty of video to throw together and test out the new editing program I have.
Just getting back into the swing of things in terms of how Vegas operates, how to do things, how to time things, and whatnot. Let me know what you guys think of this version vs the original. I think I did pretty good for a "quick" video with hardly any footage. With more, I will definitely make it much better quality.
Don't forget to switch to 720p or 1080p! Unlike Movie Maker, Vegas Keeps videos in high quality.

Here is that same Ion with the same mods running my friend's old LS1. It was a 2.73 geared car, opposed to this one obviously having 3.23s being an SS, and it also had headers, lid, dumped Y, maybe a tune, can't remember. I think the difference was mostly down to the gears.

sounded like your friend spun his tires in the second video when he punched it. the results dont surprise me to much though from the first video. though like other props for hanging in that 40 roll. my Auto TA trapped 110mph with headers/lid/exhaust but i still hated when someone wanted to do a 40-45 range roll because i would normally have to play catchup.

Takes a whole lot of bolt-ons and E85, but yeah they can run pretty good. He's still got a couple things he can do he said to put more power down.

It's a GoPro Motorsports HERO HD, or some combination of those words. It has a suction cup mount that attaches to any part of the car. I'll attach a picture of it hanging off the car, as well as the video it came from.

2.73 geared ls1 will always suck anywhere from 40-60 mph roll!
Try a 25, 35 or 70-85 mph roll, and the tables will turn...
I have a 98 T/A with 2.73's and those are the speeds 2.73's perform best at!

I have the rehashed version of this coming. Youtube is taking freaking 45 minutes to upload it (4 minute video) because it's in 720p. Let's see how bad it rapes the quality. Might give Vimeo a shot.
Make sure you guys let me know how you like the difference in the Movie Maker version and the Vegas version once I post it!

Sorry for being the street racing nanny on this one but,...Coming from a 30 year old white male,..careful in the rain dude(s). Unless your in an NA four cylinder(stockish)...your asking for problems.
Good videos though man,...those ecotec's have a lot of potential, I have one I am converting to a turbo setup actually in my stall @ work right now. Should be an easy 300-330 whp setup without too much fandangling it to much. Anyways, cool vids and camera layout.
