this is my tune, cold air, x pipe, and gears run..Listen to end video you hear cant get into 5th gear. Lost synchro. It had more in it. Notice trap speed is only 106.

Ford replaced tranny, new clutch, pp, and flywheel under warranty.

in california (atleast norcal) 5.0s are running low low 13s and very high 12s, hell theres an auto 5.0 with dr's that only does 12.8 and hes at the track all the time. A stock 5.0 i could see the charger being a very good race for it if not beat it

I ran 12.90 @108.8mph last night in my bone stock m6 3.73 car. The gearing and "light" weight really make this new 5.0's move out. I think stock with a tire i could get in the 12.60 range. The transmission really sucks in this car and I hate it! I have seen a few people saying the trap 114mph stock but I really don't see how....

because the fastest times in the country all get relayed around and then that becomes the standard time the car will run.. I rememeber reading just as much when the ls1 came out with 109-111mph trap speeds stock. We all know the avg ls1 traps 104-106 or around there. Those 114 mph traps could be fast tracks, -2000 D/A, tailwinds lying about mods timing errors whatever....who knows. Your gonna have those times that are extremely high and extremely low. Guess its just the bell curve kind of thing... I see the avg stock 5.0 trapping 109-111, like the avg ls1 traps 104-106.

Good points... My 2011 has stock 245's and 3.73's with only 1,000 miles. I consider myself to be a pretty good driver and I don't think I could do any better than 12.90 the way the car sits on street tires.. I am gonna throw some slicks on and get a stock run before I start modding. BTW, op has a badass srt8. the chargers are my favorite of the srt's. the 2012 (?) that's coming out just looks amazing!

It bouced in/out 5th that why trap speed sucked. Run before that was 11.91@114 and not going in 5th. Witch i thought i just missed at first. $th gear will go to 115 if remember right

Fastest true stock manual i have read or seen is 12.22@113. Thi swas also up north. I know on my 12.12 run DA was right at +150. From what i have seen it is not uncommon to see a new 5.0 trap 110-114 stock. A lot has to do with where running at and DA when they run.

as far as stock times for auto/manual they are pretty close really. Best auto have seen is 12.37@112. i think a lot comes down to driver and where running at. I know fastest times for them have come from track up north like Cecil. But i have seen guys post times from 12.2-13.3 with stock 5.0s. Average being about 12.5-12.8 range.

lol...i dnt liek time slip only..you can still not prove what done to the car..A video showing the car and under hood and everything helps a lot.

Not I have full bolt ons on my car now. But i will not get to take it to the track till i return from Iraq in the summer on leave. By that time in tx it will be hot as hell. I will expect mid 11s and then when i get back for good hope to see some nice cool 50* weather expect low 11s. I then will spray into the deep 10s. Thats my plan anyway.

But i know few new camaro's with issues also..
Yeah, there's definitely been a couple issues with the 5th gen's, but nothing nearly as serious as the massive amounts of issues with the MT82.

It does pertaimn to op whayt i ran..Cause truth is his car will get raped if the guy can drive the 5.o

And issues are issues. DOnt matter how many there is. And ford is stepping up and fixing them. Thats what counts.

And asking to be noticed not really. As stated stating obvious. Guy has at least 5k in mods. He should beat a stock 5.0. Thats just stupid to think he shouldnt. Sounds like you getting butt hurt.

Why would it not matter how many there are? If a manufacturer puts out a product with continual with issues from the same part, that is a major concern. Especially when it's something like a transmission.

And no, they all aren't being fixed...for instance: https://ls1tech.com/forums/racers-lo...smissions.html

No, your times do not matter to this thread. No one asked what it ran before you volunteered your times, which are a bit on the outlandish side as well. All that matters was the 5.0 in the video. A driver is part of the car, and if it fails, it's the same as putting a bad part on the car.

Why would I be butthurt? You are the one coming to the defense of the almighty 5oh just because it didn't run how it should. Shoulda/coulda/woulda doesn't mean ****.

Funny all ones i know are being fixed. And sorry you dont believe times but like in other thread i back it up. Sorry you picked wrong piece of **** to mid and its still slow. And it does matter to thread what i ran cause he asked how he do against one. I was giving idea of what i ran so he can base on.

I know least 7 guys that have tranny issues and ford is fixing them. Ford replaced mine with mods on car no questions..Better then GM who wanted to blame my carpet mat tab braking on my exhaust.

Sorry I'm still in college and I can't afford the things those older than me can. My piece of **** ran just fine for what it was, thanks.

You know 7 people with fucked transmissions? Guess it is an epidemic. I guess since all the ones you know are getting fixed means every last one is going to. That makes sense.

You really get butthurt fast man, maybe you should take a step back, take a breath, and relax. It's just the internet.

Im not getting butt hurt. I just know that ford is working on fixing all issues with the tranny. Ya is it fucked up people having these issues. Hell ya it is. But it happens. If remember right camaro had to have its production stopped cause of tranny issues. And they still have some issues now. No new car is goingto be perfect. Specially with a whole new engine, and tranny design.

Most find reasons to hate on the 5.0 cause it is killing camaros at the drag strips.

As far as whole cant afford thing. I lived my own since i was 16 with a kid. Now i am not that old but old enough to reap the benefits of joining the army and do 7 deployments. College has its benefits and its cons. Wife has one them fancy college degrees..She makes less then me.
