oh and boss engine cost $6700. Not bad for a 440hp/380tq with complete forged internals.

Yea, not bad, i dont know what any engines cost new from the manufacturer, just aftermarket short and long blocks, LOL.

I know a ZR1 engine turn key from GM will cost 24k...I priced one for the G8...or least dealer i went to was..lol

Friends G8 had engine replaced it was almost 8k for a turn key from dealer at time for a L76..

I wouldn't argue your points, but the hypereutectic pistons used aren't typical cast slugs. Besides, the engine has oil squirters to cool them and the BOSS gets forged internals... Just about everything I've read about this engine says it's certainly better(stronger) than the 4.6L it replaced in every aspect.

Sure they will be bit hit and miss on handling massive power adders.
