Fun Kill, But DAM!! 700 hp TT 350Z Convertable.
Saturday morning drive, roads are clear.. Stopped at a light. A blue 350Z convertible pulls up to me, top down. I notice a performance logo down the side of the car. Chrome 20" wheels and a big brake kit up front, with 16" silver wheels rocking MT drag radials in rear. Guy looks over at me and we size each other up. He notices my roll cage, and hears my procharger. He says supercharged?? I say yes. He says wanna go? I'm shocked, thinking a Convertible Z? Is this guy for real? but ok..
Light turns green, and we both are spinning.. I'm hooking better as i shift in 2.. I am floored at this point still spinning and I actually hear his car behind me!! I shift 3, and lay off at about 90 or so.. He couldn't catch me but he was still there only 4 lengths back. I couldn't believe he was still there, and he couldn't believe he lost.. we pulled over to talk, this guy has over $100,000. in this Z. Forged motor with twin turbos putting down 700 hp. He built it for show, then wanted it to go.. Engine bay is all chromed out, sick sound system built for show. Car has a few 1st place trophies and is the fastest convertible z in the US. Got his # and we are are gonna do it again at the track soon.

Yes lemons12, two 10 second cars at a random light with no traffic is rare. I have 2 t/a's. The procharged one I bought built. Just put under the knife to make it a bit more street friendly. It gets hot. Lingenfelter forged 347. With a nice sounding Lf cam. It had a 5000 stall. No bueno on the street.. Put in a 3200 stall. Dyno numbers from previous owner were 630rwhp. He ran 10's with that, then he played with it a bit and got into the high 9's. Time slip he showed me when i bought it was 9.87@135. Might be making a bit more power maybe to run that fast. I plan to get it on the dyno after my custom radiator install.

Don't know if he was ever on here. It was a total fluke how I ended up with it. I bought my first Ta new in 98. I still have it. Finally decided to make it faster a couple years ago. Bought an STS Turbo system for it, and was selling My unused NOS system to a shop in town. Got to talking to Brian the shop owner about my lust for more power, and he said for what I was wanting I would be better off buying a built car. He actually was looking at the this car for himself. Next thing I know Brian and I drove to Louisiana and picked it up. Brian is building a 6 second TA now.
