It sucks... I have had a BLAST in that car.
It has cowed many a would-be competitor. And there is nothing which musters a soft-on faster than hearing second hand stories of kids who claimed they beat that black Z or the blue Z... when I know dam' well, they pulled off when they had a chance and never raced her or they shot by me without notice and pulled off before I could set it up.
At one time that was fairly common. I'd be sittin' in the shop and someone would come in and ask me if I owned that Camaro outside... then tell me about a friend of theirs who beat me the other day. I'd just sit there smilin', not confirming or denying. "Really...? You be sure to tell them that ya told me, will ya?"
I hate to see her go, but she's a mess and I don't believe I have the skills to fix her.
She's torn that LCA bracket down and away, the metal is rusty. I went out to get back on it and after I cleaned it up the old metal and, with the welder on the lowest setting, using .023 wire... it blows a hole in the old metal.
So I think Lawhead is right. (hey dummy, did ya see that?) She's gone brother... time's come to put her down, pull the mismatched, mechanical atrocities and move on to the next unit.
All I need now is a fine example of the breed, which is owned by the salt of the earth who just wants it to have a good home, where someone will make her go fast and 'love her long time'.
And I will snap some pictures and post them up later.

You're leaving the Arctic?
I'd suggest you start applying sunblock now. Get a nice base coat... then, bring a tarp with you to California, so that you can wrap yourself in it, to avoid bursting into flames, upon contact with direct sunlight.

lol no worries. contrary to popular belief it gets very hot and sunny here in the summer. my german hyde tans well.

From what I know, that car was not a 6 cylinder. I think it was a twin turbo 434 or something like that. He had a Stage 2 Buick 6 in there but wanted even more.
