Started to tear into the LT1 today. Drained the oil.. Lots of water in the bottom of the pan.. This could be ugly.. Figures. Hopefully its not too bad in there.

Went to see Need for Speed last night. I REALLY miss the sound of a V8.

No, you didn't know. I told you that you were wrong, and you actually checked and confirmed it. See?

It is ok to be wrong sometimes Doug, just don't defend your position so vigorously with false claims and then claim you were doing something else when you get caught/corrected.

So you agreed the 305 got outran. Cool, all I was looking for. Good try on changing the subject in an attempt to detract from the 305's complete and miserable failure.

Wow, I went to sleep, over the weekend, just to come back for more 305 talk. Seriously, the horse is dead, no rational person deals w/ a 305, so who cares!

Took a nice drive yesterday with a few friends since it was such a nice day. We ended up going up to one of the resorts to get pictures. 6700'+ above sea level.
Had a little fun with the Z on the freeway on the way home. Unfortunately we couldn't get a clean start before he had to make his exit. I'm glad the season it just getting under way. I hate winter.

I just giggle to myself when you compare the 302 and 305. These were Camaros that lost, little Dougie, no station wagons. Let that sink in.

**** man the old LX 5.0 would have spanked the draws off any 305ci Camaro. Those cars were slow as monkey ****!! one of my favorite cars was the Iroc Camaro but didn't they come with a 350ci?

Not true.
I find it hysterical that reach y=for anything you can in order to try to come out with a w. All the while your sick nasty 302 build will get rolled by bolt-on ls1's.

Not really.....the camaro's just had to be optioned right. Most that just sat on dealers lots were not. I can remember it even being somewhat hard to find a tpi IROC or Z28. Here is a vid of local guys from years ago. Note that the Iroc is stock.....and the 5.0 is not. Then do yourself a favor and read the "ABOUT" under the vid.

What was wrong with the 302 Ford back then????????? Unless you wanted more than 500 at the wheels plenty of potential and cheap to build up. Just needed a good block above 500 to live long
Not true.
TPI 305s with a stick were very hard to find. And they were much faster than the other 305s especially the autos.
