Guy at the gym a good friend of mine goes to says he smokes american v8s all day in his 2014 Civic Si. Got into an argument with my boy who normally drives a standard Focus. Long story short, my boy with the Focus mentioned he had someone who could beat that little Si.

My boy downplayed me a bit and said I was just a CTS with exhaust. Si-Guy is feeling pretty confident. I may have to put my cutouts on before\if this race even happens.

For a 2014 Si, I highly doubt its modded to the teeth, and I'm sure this will be a puppykicking. May be a dig, but I'm going to try to bait it for a roll.

Including me. I didn't know anyone cared about the 351. Meh, iron blocks.

I'll be looking for a blue, black or red one, with at least bolts on and hopefully a cam. Going to be a cam, bolt on, nitrous street car. I've decided I've put it off long enough, going to wait and save and get exactly what I want.

I was kidding. Had one of my service admins that had a stroked 351 Clevland in his kit Cobra. It was tuned like poop and only pulled to like 5700 with a huge 242/248 cam in it. It should've screamed up top, but it fell on its face. Tuning a carb. I think it's trickier than tuning injected motors.

Jetstream blue is the color to grab if you can. Rare, and awesome. Don't buy a modded car unless the heads have been P&P's and the exhaust valves are solid stainless steel. That's the only issue w/ the LS7. It's a big issue, but THE issue. Exhaust valves out of spec, break, and bye, bye 15k motor. If you watch and wait. You could get a nice one in the low to mid 40's.

Oh yea, something with the head fix is a must. Local guy just dropped a valve and trashed the motor about 2 weeks after he bought the car. Luckily for me I have some serious corvette knowledge here, the fastest ZR1 and fastest 6 speed Vette in the world are both near me, I'll be using there tuner.

Shhhh! The valve thing isn't an issue! You're about to have Frodo Baggins aka HiO in here all in a tizzy saying it's not an engineering/manufacturing defect from GM.

Bobby at Kentucky Speed helped me w/ all my small parts on my engine build. Good peeps. Vettes are great fun, they do everything well. Drags, road course, cruise, whatever.

To be truthful, not all have it. My dad's had 30k on it, when he was scared into doing the heads. His heads were within spec, and actually like new. It's a hit or miss deal. Regardless, I didn't dare risk it on my LS7 heads!

Hio knows its a serious problem. And I have seen them fail even with aftermarket heads. No one is sure why.

Once the TA is refreshed and painted I'm probably gonna sell it and pick up a procharged C5 Z06 for a driver. I've wanted one since they were new, and these days its hard to beat that combo for the money, they pop up already built with receipts and history for pretty cheap.

C6s are still expensive as hell, 25k+ for the <06 that don't even have the LS3. I'd want the 07+ and those are closer to 30k. Hard for me to justify a stock C6 vs a procharged C5 for half the price...

True dat. 350s run skeered from 351s.

Plan a motor build in it. You would be better off reliability wise going with an LS3 C6 and having mucho mod money left over. Turbo dat bitch

Strictly for entertainment purposes, I would LOVE to here Hio's take on 350 vs. 351...
