Need some opinions, found a 07 z71 1500 LT with the 5.3 motor with about 230,000 miles for $5,500. The body has some dings but the paint is good. Interior is in good shape also. Is that good for that price? What issues does the 5.3 have with those kind of miles.
Not a bad price for 07 but id try to negotiate to 4800 to 5000. Engine is fine at that milage. Check all front suspension bushings joints etc. If its 4x4 drive it in 4x4 for a little ways. I had transfer case isues in my 05 with120k on it. Also look at trans fluid color etc.

Why do I like small cars? I'm looking up info on MR2's now, first gen ones. Love the styling. Would they be a good DD? Anybody know anything about them? I literally know nothing besides what I just read on Wikipedia.
Edit: What a weird coincidence as Mike Morris posts a MR2 meme on Facebook. Get outta my head!

id go ahead and spring for a gen 2. Much more reliable and better handling, the n/a gen 2's would walk all over a s/c gen 1. Only complaint I have with those cars is they lift the front end above 120. Kinda sketchy. None of them get very good gas mileage for as small as they are. The turbo gen 2's are a blast to drive though.

An sc would wax an Na 2nd easy. 1st gens are more fun and lighter. 2nd gen way better for a Dd. 1st gens are rust buckets. Snake figure out what you want the car to do and go from there. I have had lots of them.

My sc gets about 30ish if I stay out of boost. Easy car to run 13s with on street tires. Blower becomes a restriction with mods If you want an everyday car the Na 2nd gen is hard to beat. Same motor used in Camries and Celica Gt/Gts. Want to go crazy fast get an 85,86 car and drop the 2nd gen motor in it. With boost controller and full exhaust high 12s 110 ish. Do a turbo swap, engine management with fuel and its 11s on street radials with an lsd

I know guys around snakes height with Mr2s. A sunroof or ttop car with inside visor in it might be tough if he has shorter legs for his height

I have a long torso and average length legs for my height. I've just been scouting out a car for the winter/icy days when I don't wanna take the coupe and I really am not a new car kinda guy. I like used. The Escort is fine for now but I want an auto since I commute pretty far every day and sometimes I just wanna get in the car and push the gas, lol. Also I've never owned anything but a Ford and am willing to broaden my horizons for a reliable car that's good on gas.

bumper supports do alot. Air bags removed just takes the car to a pre 1990 state. In 90 all US cars went to airbags. Ive seen alot of ppl hurt by airbags. My mom was driving along last year and her ujoint flew apart and smacked the tunnel. Right above the driveshaft is where the air bag module set so the bags went off.and hit her during normal driving. Lmfao! Luckily she was fine but pissed her pants.

Not without those bumper supports, I'd imagine. And I know that there are a handful of cases over the past 20 years where somebody is hurt by an airbag potentially more-severely than they would have been otherwise, just like with seatbelts, but there is NO WAY I would take safety equipment out of my car in the name of saving 30-50lbs. I'm probably already a ticking time bomb in an accident, so I want all the help I can get.
