Not a big fan of crome anyway.. My Ford doesn't have any crome on it..
They need to offer a truck that makes more power and uses less gas! The 5.3L is simply not enough to pull a decent load, and the 6.2l has great power but the fuel economy is terrible!! The 2005 Z71 Silverado I had used to struggle to tow my 21ft bay boat I use to own. But my 2007 Avalanche towed it pretty good but still got horrible fuel economy. The boat I have now weighs about 1500lbs more than my last boat and my Ford tows the **** out it and gets decent fuel economy doing it. The last truck would get 8 miles to the gallon but my Ford will get 12-13 miles to the gallon towing my boat..

Really depends on the car or truck using the crome. Like I said I loved the crome on my Harley but I didn't like the big crome front grills on most of the new trucks. Crome wheels on a vette looks great but crome out the mirrors, trim, front and rear bumpers and the car wouldn't look as good. Ya know?

There was a slew of cars there tonight. A Ferrari 599 ran a best of 12.8@11X, A GTR that is seen best of 11.8@127 after he stopped and got race gas in it, a 392 Challenger that ran best of 13.07@110, My buddie TT lambo leaving of idle easy ran a 11.2@153 with a 2.6 60ft and getting on it basically at the 333ft mark on his 1258whp setting then he got booted for trap speed, a 2010+ Camaro that ran best of 11.8@118 that had least a cam and some bolt ons(You could hear the cam). Funny thing was on one pass he rushed up to line up with said above 5.0. After getting spanked he wouldn't do it again. A C5Z that ran best of 12.9@116. Only thing could tell for sure was full exhuast and cold air. Just shows how good this car is running.

So a bolt on 5.0 with nothing else done to it ( weight reduction, suspension, no power adders at all) is running 11.002@124mph. Sorry man but I can't get my head around it. Every bolt-on 5.0 arond here runs in the mid-low 12's high 11's but this 5.0 is running 11.002@124mph. If this is all he has it is impressive cause that's about where my H/C/I stock bottom end motor ran with a best of 10.90@123mph..

I know he still has stock shocks, springs, struts. They are next on list. And he has back seat delete. Car is a base model. He runs 15" rims all around has a stall in it as well. This actually makes him the second fastest behind JJ from WMS that ran 10.88@125 in a manual in -1000 DA at Cecil on a track rental. Here is top 10 basically. All bolt ons.
These people that are running those times with bolt-on cars are like those shops that claimed they got into the 9's cam only. I'm sure it can happen but not anyone with a car like that can do those mods and run those #'s. This isn't the norm for a bolt-on 5.0. They are bad *** man but not that bad ***!!
Dude might be running a small shot of juice and not telling you something. Just like someone else I know that said he ran 9.90's on a stock botton end full weight f-body. He forgot to add that he sprayed the car and to some Spray isn't considered forced induction..

I'm not saying it's not true just saying that's not the norm around here. Your S/C bolt-on 5.0 ran 10.80's@127-128mph. So a S/C only gains you 3-4mph and 2 thenths faster than a bolt-on car? Like I said the bolt-on cars around here are running 11.60 and slower @ about 115-117mph. Never seen one with just bolt-ons run faster than that.

Before it trapped 125 almost 126. The cars tune has about 50 hours of total time in it with street/track. This basically same tune the tuner runs in his car that went 10.9@125 with a 5000 stall and a boss swapped engine. Brett's car just runs super strong. And We really think if the track would not have lost all prep and what not it would have went 10.9X's. Being around this car and looked all over it agian I know it is not hiding a shot. And he would be mor ethen willing to let some one look at it and find one. Then when they don't find now power adder they could couch up the cash...LOL.

Remeber when I rn that time of 10.91@129 I was on stock stall. He has a 4400 stall. Bigs/littles and I am on heavy 18's. Heavy then stock 18" rims. We should have mine sorted out here in the next week. And I am heavier then him as well. By least 150lbs.
I know for a fact he doesn't have a shot on it. Him and the guy tuning it is suprised it ran the trap it did but not the ET's. It actaully lost MPH swapping tires though. I hear ya bro but there has to be more to it! I run 128-129 in the heat making around 650hp to the flywheel and you mean to tell me I only run 2-3 mph faster than this bolt-on 5.0 car? NO way man.. A car trapping 126mph should be running 10.60's to 10.80's with a converter and tires. Those Mustangs don't way that much..

and so you tracking he ran 2 11.10@124 with worse 60fts of 1.68-1.72 and even a 11.18 with a 1.7 60ft and a 11.23 with 1.82 60ft. The above run was a 1.55 60ft.
he has a gaol to be fastest bolt on car. But might not happen till late fall. Can't compete with guys running at Cecil in -1000 DA till least novemeber-feb.

He will be doing more suspension here soon. Trying for better times. Issue is it is going to start getting hot fast here. Soon we will see easy 90* days. And 110* + in the summer. This car is making maybe aroudn 450-470whp on a great dyno day. It is pushing the extreme side of a tune. No holding back at all.
Sounds like a bolt-on car with a little shot or he has cams and not saying anything..
