Those who subscribe to inane political stereotypes because they know no better, and decline to exercise independent thought, are ten times as damaging as the incompetents for whom they vote.

Won't happen, I'm not dumb enough to vote against my own financial interests.

I'm so burnt out on the word liberal, it's worn out and you look ignorant when you usee it. I'll explain why, to the new republican movement liberal describes, extreme left wing dems, conservative dems, moderates, moderate republicans, and traditional republicans.

While I've got everyone in here talking politics I would love to hear an argument for why anyone should vote republican when you consider that the new and "improved" Republican parties financial policies have put that state nearly in financial ruin in a short period of time.

Lol at trying to compare Texas to anyone else. With all that oil money they could do just about anything and the state would still be successful. Yes California sucks.

New York, Minnesota ect. are a couple more examples, compared to the way N and S Dakota are blowing up ! Good things happen when half your earned money is not taken, and you can use it to expand, not trying to get into a huge political argument cause they never end well lol.....I'm just saying

the dakotas are also experiencing an oil boom. but it takes a business friendly environment to get the ball rolling. Manitoba also has a lot of oil. but we have a very pro union, unfriendly to business provincial government that has given us a very unstable economy and a huge deficit. companies don't want to invest here because of the instability. but you scoot just a couple miles west to Saskatchewan, and there is huge money there because of a business friendly environment and the middle class there is one of the richest in the world because of it.

I heard your oil is sandy and thus making it hard to refine. Is this true?

just the ones called "oil sands". it's sand that's polluted with oil. they physically scoop it up and extract the oil out of it. it's financially viable at $100\barrel oil.

there's also a lot of your regular drilling and fracking.

New York is one of the wealthiest states in the union and the Dakotas have oil. Every state is different and needs different policy to reflect that. Just like anyone who thinks that our national policy should reflect the views of only one party is crazy.

Congress , Senate's, and chairman's, etc... need to get this country out of debt if they can't then they don't get paid period. After all its their job and our debt is too high. The president needs to make them come up with a 10 year plan to get us out of debt and they all stick to it.

This.

The 2 party system is BS anyway, and causes problems when uninformed voters just go down the list of everything aligned with their party without knowing a damn thing about it.

I wanted to slap my coworker when they said they didn't know half the people they voted for, they just check off all the Rep votes...

Defeats the purpose of voting in the first place.
