Just depends how each car runs with those new 5.0's. I pull a local bolt-on 5.0 by about 1/2 car from a 20-120 roll and a really good running one that's bone stock besides having a pro star drag setup I only put about 2-3 cars on 20-120....

True. I know they are no joke. I can definitely tell a difference in the way my car runs after the mods. Its way less sluggish and the throttle response is much faster since the ported tb and yanking the cats off

My bolt ons and tune made my car a different animal, but the gears are just the worst thing ever. Nothing like a 40-90 pull in one gear

I dunno how you thought you had 2.73s lol

I put the VIN into the vin decoder and it said 273s, I dunno. Most cars I've had over the years have been manuals so they are always 342s. I was looking at the RPO codes and I have the GU5 code, definitely 3.23.

This is F body #8 for me, I did used to have a 94 Z28 vert with 2.73s but that thing was the slowest F body on earth so different gears wouldnt have done anything to it

Sounds like someone changed rear ends or gear sets. I'm going to be putting a 3.42 rear in over the winter, I think. Have the rear already but no drive to put it in I hate working in the cold.

I still can't get over how much of a fight my car will give other cars given the useless gears. I hope with some DRs and the new gear to upset some people with my old bucket of bolts.

My first target is my buddies bolt on wrx from a dig. Awd on the street is a bitch

Gears haven't been changed, I think the VIN decoder I used was wrong, because I have the GU5 RPO on the door. The rear end cover had never been off the car lol

Just giving you ****, if anyone should have changed the diff fluid its me, I've never had the diff cover off mine

Oh well, the low mileage rear will be taken care of, about like everything else I've replaced... I hate trying to fix problems caused by previous owners...also why Ill never sell this one so no one can be like "what in the **** did you do to this thing"

Thats a BMW? I thought it was an old Audi TT. That pic isn't working correctly for that car.

I feel you, This one just never really had any maintenance done on it other than oil and trans fluid servicing. Spark plugs looked original LOL

lol. The car is really pretty but its a manual and I HATE manuals with a passion. So that's a huge turn off.

Not sure wtf I'm going to do.

I'm now on the vtcoa forums trying to figure out how cost effective a head/cam build is for this truck.
Might just keep it and get an srt8 for daily and just use this to **** around on streets since it already beats 80% of the cars here lol. The 5th gen is going to have so much power it's going to be worthless.

Last night I took the 5th gen out and had about 4-5 cars try to run me down a 4 lane street, I took off spinning all of 2nd and 3rd, smoking my tires, and still pulled about half a km on them. I'll tell you, down here where there so many tame cars, watching a car burn its tire off at those speeds gets random spectators all giggly throwing thumbs up and following you to see your car

This was all on 6-7psi since the belt is slipping worse now than ever before.
