I'm going to leave this right here for Hio, who thinks that the ZL1 is so far superior.

This is the 2nd ZL1 engine failure we have seen our a local state wide website that I am on.

I believe the LSA motors do not have forged rotating assemblies while the ls9's do. I read that somewhere when the 2nd gen CTS-v's came out

I actually lost a $5 bet on a race. ZL1 (pulley, intake, tune) vs 2013 5.0 (tune, intake, axleback). I gave the ZL1 the benefit of the doubt that night thinking it was gonna out power the 5.0.... Nope, 5.0 whopped his ***.

That may be the case but I've seen more than one ZL1 lose to more than one 5.0, all of them stock or lightly modded. On average, a ZL1 won't beat a 5.0.
