A lot of people have trouble respecting the GTR for what it is unfortunately. Doesn't matter if you don't like the car itself, it's still very quick stock and can be a monster if you sink some money into it.

I'd like more car, less robot. Something along the lines of the Z06 would work for me (with some money sunk in it)

The GTR has grown on me a lot over the past few years mainly out of respect for performance numbers. It is really hard to beat an AWD launch with that type of power when they become modded. Would definitely be a street racing king. My biggest issue with them is looks and I have to be "attracted" to the car I own and will end up sinking some money into

Same, something about the sure brutality of the Z06 (less robotic) just entices me

So the other night I was reminded why Hondas are my least favorite cars in this hobby. Only about 1 out of 20 of them are respectfully quick, the other 19 are the loudest ones. Sounding like a horde of weed wackers coming up the road. This one Del Sol was so loud yet so slow, it probably would run 16s

End rant

Yea I managed to run into that 1 out of 20. Try losing to a Honda and see what it does to your pride, no ****...

I've only seen one fast Honda in action, a white, late 90s Civic hatch. Once he got traction and that turbo spooled up that bitch was gone..

I would agree with the Honda's. We have a crap load in our area. And I only know of 3 that are fast. 2 is actual race cars. Other is a newer SI turbo'd that makes over 500whp.

Its the EVO's you really have to watch out for round us.

This is how i feel about it, anything that was "civic" has been replaced.
In my area civics are the cool thing to get, I cant tell you how many stock engine hondas I see with race recovery loops on the *** ends, "like **** bro, that torque steer putting you in trees or something?" lol

Was pulling the battery out of the TA today & between the car and the front door, one of the terminal screws must have dropped somewhere. I've spent the last 45 minutes searching the ground with a flashlight, by hand and with a magnetic pen (found out later that the screws aren't even magnetic really).

Leaves on the ground, frigid *** weather, darkness, non-magnetic, necessary component. Blah.

Well I got the final results on the car!! The #'s aren't that good because I am blowing through the converter.. Geoff Said when he nails it on the dyno the car jumps straight to 6000rpm, hazes the tires and he shuts it down at @6800rpm.. Looks like ima have to drop the tranny to pull the converter out..

Anyway. The car only made 450rwhp and 395 ft. pounds of torque to the tire. This setup should make tones of low end torque because of the heads and intake on the car..

Not really. Hopefully LightningTeg posts up in here, his Civic is 500+whp and and looks stock as a rock, though now I think the setup is in his Integra, but it still doesn't give away it's secret.

You mean like when someone does a turbo F-body and replaces just about everything? It's the same concept on any platform, if it makes one less "camaro/mustang/civic" than it does the same for all of them.

What's your motor & tranny setup again? And what converter?

How is it not a civic any more? It still looks bone stock. Has A/C, heat, factory seats. Just a turbo kit and exhaust. The K20 blocks will handle that power on stock internals with the right tuning. Much above that and they pop.

There is a shop in FL been building 450-500whp SI's for about 5yrs now. All them look basically stock. They even came out with a turbo kit to just slap on. Guy who worked for me bought it after last deployment. You would never know looking at the car it was turbo'd till he popped hood. Or you heard the BOV.

Whatever floats your boat. It's something to gamble on, so what's wrong with it? From a betting stand point, it would probably be smarter to bet on a roll race since you don't have to worry about the launch.

Opened up to 4" Trick flow heads 215cnc with a bigger intake valve's, ported fast 90mm, EPS custom 246/255-607/632@113+2, LS2 402ci th350 tranny with a 8" 5000rpm stall converter that is flashing to 6000rpm. Tuned by Geoff @ EPS. Dyno #'s don't mean **** with a high stall converter like that. Anyone that races knows that.

I got down it for the first time today and all I can say is HOLT ****!! I am gonna take to the track with the current converter then I am going to drop the tranny and send the converter back out to get cut to about a 3600-4000rpm stall. BTW the car has awesome street manners..

Sounds like it'll be ready for the new year. Had some good dig racing tonight (few hours ago). Vettes, Supra, Cobra, Camaros, half of them were forced induction cars. Ahhhh yes, thats what I like about the south, racing all year round.. **** snow!!!!
