His auto did. He had no cold air, no headers, just off road x pipe, with no cat back on the car. I was in the lane next to him. I broke the tires lose and aborted the run. And my bad ya the race weight was with there 165lbs driver. My car weighs about the same as there car. I still have full interior, AC/stock brakes. That is with me in it.

Pure speculation from you as usual.

Still impressive out of a 302 tho.

Dude, get real.
How speculation? Look it up. Look what it taking to run a modded SS next to a modded 5.0 right now. Drivers/traction DA equal.

Far as power wise. We are playing a guessing game as what real cams will do with full bolt ons. No one has done it yet. I think it is a secret or something..Or the cams just are not worth the money...

From what I have seen at Cecil my local track(which is fast) bolt on LS3 Vettes at full weight vs 5.0 bolt ons full weight-the Vettes have the edge. This means cars have no weight reduction, sway bars on and stock type wheels(ie no skinnies). These Vettes trap over 122MPH and run low 11s. Have not seen any modded GSs run though.

Have friends with bolt on 5.0s. They run mid to high 11s at full weight and trap 115-117MPH-M6 cars with no weight reduction in good air. I have seen some other ones run low 12s lately but they have little stuff done. Did see tuned automatic on DRs with no other mods run a 12 flat back in the spring. If you are a bolt on F body the only way to make up for the power advantage is too lose a lot of weight. The other option is to cam it-what is what I did. I no longer have problems with any of them-either from a stop or roll and my car's performance is not dialed in yet. Keep in mind a lot of these 5.0 owners have no desire to mod there cars due to warranty concerns as well.

I want to add-a lot of these 5.0 Vids especially from Cecil are filled with hyperboles because I have examined these cars up front and in the flesh. Many have a lot of weight reduction and this is not mentioned.

Strangely when I race at 75/80 I have yet to see any run.

I think some guys on here really underestimate them while others stretch the truth in terms of what they can do.

I knew exactly who and what cars you guys were talking about.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of a mod motor unless it has boost on it. With boost they are the sickness; without they are the weakness.

I'm familiar with the sponsor truck Ford used back in the early 2000's. That was 600fwhp. As for 59x/600rwhp, I highly doubt it. No, actually I super-duper highly doubt it.

No there isn't.

Cubes man, cubes. I don't know why it is so hard for you to accept. Now boost on a 4.6 can even the playing field no doubt.

The saddest thing is mustang fanboys are swarming on a GM performance forum, tears streaming hard, constantly trying to compare a 2011 model car to a 1998 model car, and then bringing up full on race cars in completely difference classes to compare.
Its the same old tired argument, its time to grow up guys, you can't convince everyone to like your mustang.

Yeah it's annoying when people complain at the displacement or how the power is made. Although you do have to laugh at the guys in civics that make 500 hp but takes like 20 psi to get there

If you haven't noticed, more often than not it's the F-body owner that does that.

DO you know Andre from Excessive Performance there in Killeen? HIs Eclipse that runs 10.6@140mph that looks bad need of a paint job. Full interior still and runs about 28psi.

Or Pat with the blue Evo 6 that is known is for being the vette killer.
