I think i held up pretty well.. we are having a rematch next week, but i a going to be on a 100 or 150 shot next time . My friend is letting me use my old nitrous kit that i sold to him. I just picked up a KYTP turbo kit off of sluggish on here, so i plan on a new motor this winter anyway but hey it may hold!

Good races!
Why are a bunch of guys going with centrifugal blowers instead of twin screw blowers? They never seem to run as well. Are they trying to prevent the heat soak associated with the other blowers? Just curious.

I was wondering the same. The main benefit of the F1 is they don't have the instant hit of 600-700 ft lbs of torque and are better for traction. The F1 is definitely not the cheapest route I don't think. They sound pretty wicked though.

Here are a couple of bad ideas with a centri blower setups on a 4.6L...
-low compression
-tall gear ratio
-larger than necessary blower
Now IMO I'd be willing to bet this Cobra had all of the above. I am not a fan of the F1 setup on 03 Cobras.

Puny little low comp 4.6's have no bottom end with a Procharger in that heavy pig in a street car. Should have gone KB. High power centrifugals blowers are for the LSX big boys that have bottom end grunt.
Edit: looks like that cobra would have to put 10 bus lengths on you if the race was longer.
