When I bought my 97 Cobra I was actually looking for a 99-01 SS. Couldn't find one for 100miles. So I found the cobra by chance. I was doing good with full bolt ons. Till I ran a 01 SS with full bolt ons. HAHA
Oh anyway ya ran took forever to get to 150+ stock. And I think it still took that long to get there with bolt ons..HAHA

Ford might not want their Mustang GT to run with their GT500, which is limited to 155, on top end. I read 149 on Car and Driver most recently... from a test about a yr ago, I'm sure, though I didn't check their date.

That's cool... but I was turning a little over 4,000rpm in 5th gear. And I just used a calculator to verify that it was about 140mph.

Just jumping in here: I work at an aftermarket autoparts manufacturer (it's not a sponsor on here) and today a guy brought in his bone stock 5.0 and put down 376WHP on our dyno, which is a Dyno Jet. He's the son of a guy who has worked here forever.
Completely stock, 376whp.

The auto is a six speed also. BUt ya the numbers are right around what most are doing. I think i miss read it at first. Just looked again seen was 376 not 356. haha
And for what worth every dyno is different but seen many manuals run between 370-390 on different dyno jets. Average seems to be right around 375 for a manual and about 355-360 for an auto.

These new cars are making some very impressive numbers for sure. Just saw a stock to the filter 2012 Challenger 392 put down 432rwhp on a dynojet. Car had a little over 1000 miles on it. That's on par with what a full bolt-on/Boss intake 5.0 or bolt-on LS3 SS will normally produce. Impressive!!

I know some LS3/5.0 that put more then that with bolt ons on Dyno Jets. More as 20-30hp more with a great tune. ANd not a email tune.

Isn't that model meant to compete with the GT500/ZL1?

You would think since it is 45k, and with markups I have seen on a few of them which took it to 52k. And I just seen a new GT500 on leave for 49k. Also seen a fully laoded GT500 for 68K. That was with track pack, Recaro seats, glass roof, etc.
But the dodge guys don't want to compare it to it cause then it don't hang at all.
I compare a GT500 to a Vette(least till the ZL1 comes out). And the Super Snake to me falls between the Z06/ZR1.
