its odd that you guys are still thinking that this is going to be a battle fought over 1/4 times... Gm is looking to make a vehicle that will use that expensive suspension and attack corners and Ford also has been taking weight out of the gt500 so it can corner better.

The name cobra will be coming back because as you mentioned the deal with shelby will be over soon (I think 2014 if I'm not mistaken)

Haha well you just took away all of your credibility with that one... SVT never shut down... Who makes the Raptor. Svt actually makes the GT500 too technically. The GT500 is just named Shelby due to the contract and it was made because they knew the legend was getting old and this was a good way to make an iconic car one last time before it was too late for Carroll.

STill does not change the fact that the GT500 us not a Cobra. That it was indeed revived in 07 cause of the 65-70 Shelby. A way to bring it back. And as you said let Carroll have another icon.
And as far as the SS goes..New and old.
As far as bringing it back. It is in the air. There is rumors on every mustang website that still says spy photos was taken that t he new GT500 will be a 5.8L SC or a 5.0 Turbo, or that it is indeed the SVT Cobra. No one know **** for sure. Hell I seen a post on SVT that said the 2013/2014 GT500 will be 650hp...That would start to take away from the lower level SuperSnake.

If it hadn't been named the GT500, do you think it might have been named the Cobra? If they brought back the Trans Am, but they named the version that came with a lid/exhaust/suspension mods the "At&t," how would you describe that to a 4th gen owner? "It's like a new WS6." EXACTLY.

Another Fail by you. You are the only person that thinks it is a Cobra. Every one else KNOWS it is the GT500.
If they brought back the TA. And then had a higher version called the TA AT&T then it would be the TA AT&T..
NO where does the GT500 say this car is the GT500 Cobra.
