Last night a few of my buddies from high school/college decided to go for a cruise. One of the kids has a DSM with a T-28 at 25 pounds. We were just messing around, started somewhere between 40 and 50 and let off around 90-100, ran twice. Both times he took the hit, I jumped to put about a fender on him (LS1 torque ftw) and when he shifted to third the spool up killed him. By the time he hit full spool I was already in third and had a little over a car on him. Pretty much even from then on.
Resuluts: At full spool our cars were about dead even, not sure if he can no lift shift but if he can it would be a lot closer.
...and at the end of those my check engine light came on...

Not sure how the ls1 TBs are but I know for the LT1s alot of people have to drill the hole out larger to get the iac counts correct in aftermarket TBs. Try a search in the ls1 section for it. I don't know diddly about ls1 lol I'm stuck with my slow lt1

T-28 and spool time hahahahahahaha. That thing is smaller than a hair dryer and I'm not joking. Those things start losing power after 20 PSI and I bet he was runing the car to redline which is another mistake. That thing runs out of steam by 5.5K and should hit a wall by 6K. Also he should see full boost by 3K, no reason he shouldn't be racing from 3K and above.

Just to give you an idea, make a circle with your pointer finger and your thumb. The turbo compressor inlet is about that size, and full boost is easily 3K or less on a 2.0L. As far as flow, the B16g should flow more at around the same spool up and hold boost longer. The boost should fall off in the upper rpms with semi-stock turbos and potentially cams and intake manifolds. I run a 100% stock short block with an E16G just a little bit bigger than the B16G with HKS 272 cams and it hits 25PSI around 3.3-3.5K and starts to drop boost off around 5.5K and by 7K it only has around 20PSI. Best shift points even for my car is around 6000ish, with a bigger than stock turbo and cams.
