Default Me vs. 2011 5.0 and cammed c5 vette

At the local cruise I finally got to get some races in. I parted out my lt1 trans am and bought a 01 c5 vette. Its got long tubes with high flow cats, a billy boat cat back. Cold air intake, and a tune. basically full bolt on. the tune is a mail order tune. stock 3.42s

me vs 2011 5.0 coyote

Coyote mods- full exhaust, cai, tune, and 4.10s

race from 40 to 130 he got me by one car, he just gradually pulled the car little by little. I was happy with the outcome, thats car is pushing well over 400rwhp.

me vs. 2001 cammed vette.

vette mods- vararam full exhaust and dyno tune with tsp228r

race from 40 to 120

Me pulled right off the bat and slowly increased the gap to two cars or 2.5 cars or so.

Overall I was really satisfied with the outcome. I believe my vette has got some low low 12 second passes in it. we will see with this warm weather....

Good runs, but I would also think the cammed Vette would pull more. Did he have supporting mods?

Thanks guys. The other c5 has the exact mods as me only he doesnt have cats at all. and he has the 228r cam.

Mis car is a m6 and so is mine.

My car was a repo with a blown motor, so I put a 04 vette ls1 with 30k in it. My car is full bolt on, and it runs really really strong for what it is. A week after I got it going I took it to the track on the 18 inch street tires in 94 + degree weather. Keep in mind this was my first time at the track in a m6, all my other cars were stalled autos. here is what it went

60' 2.167
330 5.625
1/8 8.436
mph 88.25
1000 10.836
1/4 12.88
mph 110.91

Keep in mind with the weather that was 2500+ Da at beech bend. with some drag radials It will go low low 12s. This track run was also without the tune on my car. I had to put the pcm back to stock tune because the pcm was tuned for the old blown ls2 heads and cam that was in the car.

Ive had good luck with nitrous, my cam only lt1 with a 150 shot went 11.4. So im gonna put some radials on it and a 150 shot and hope for some 10s

I would hope with some DR's and some good weather you could get 11's out of it.

I think it's safe to say you had the driver mod
