Relax, we're just having a little fun. This isn't 1998 anymore so the LS1 isn't new technology. It's just newer then the LT1. Of course an LT1 can keep up when it has the right mods. Just like an LS1 can keep up with an LS7 with the right mods (AKA enough nitrous, lol).

But that's a Ford so it doesn't count. Cause we all know what Ford stands for:

Or backwards

In stock form the LS1 puts out like 60rwhp more than the lt1. A few bolt-ons is simply not going to make it run with an LS. And alot of this is us just playing around man

I liked my 93 z28 when I had it but I could tell a major difference in power between it and the ls1(in camaro and corvette form) and then an even bigger difference in power between the ls1 and ls3(corvette form)

60rwhp? I don't know if that applies to f-bodies but it sure as hell doesn't for vettes. An LT1 vette will dyno 268-278 stock. An LS1 vette will be from 298-308 on average.

SLP make a kit for LT1s back in the day. It consisted of 1.6rrs, a CAI and a cat back. The LT1 vette dynoed 305rwhp with this kit. So a few bolt-ons can do the job.

My LT1 with a baby cam used to drag LS cars mod for mod. They throw a donkey sick dyno cam in there with a narrow power band and get rapes by a lowly a LT1 with a baby cam that can put it to the ground and a driver who can drive. I did it over and over and over.

It definately applies to f-bodies. The LT1 f-bodies dynoed 225-255 rwhp in most cases. LS1's fbodies were usually 285-315 rwhp. So apples to apples the LS1 was around 50-60 rwhp higher.

That's beating the driver though, not the car. But I'm not knocking it as I've been there and done that. I beat a C6 Z06 and 500+ HP pullied Cobra who out trapped me by 6-10 mph. But when they pull 2.3 60's to my 1.5's and you catch them sleeping on the tree...........

But like Vin Deisel says. "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winnings, winning!"

Proof of this? Never heard of an lt1 running that close to 12's with bolt-ons. I'm not buying it. Negative 3000 d/a? I have owned a few lt1 f-body's and I know how they run. That doesn't add up at all.

You have got to be seriously high as ****.

LT1s have ran deep into the 11s bolt ons only... High 12s is to be expected for bolt ons and good traction / driver. Mine went 8. 80 in the 1/8th BONE stock on stock tires...

If you think full bolt ons and slicks wont pick up at least a full second, you're high.

I'm talking about HIS bolt-ons kemosabe. Yes of course a full bolt-on lt1 can run much better, but look at what he has done. About nothing.

I have had the car about 3 years now, first few times I went to the 1/4 it ran 13.8 13.9 @ 101&102. Every mod I listed is mods I did as well as a good tune up. I will say I have never pulled the vavle cover's and I can't vouch for the cars entire life. I'm prety sure it was a stock car. I have raced a few lt1 f-body's when I was stock and it was close but I could always edge them out. I also think you miss understood my da comment. This car is my toy when I go to the track I just go to have fun. I don't car about the da temp humidity or witch way the wind is blowing, too me when I here pepole say my car would go faster in this da altittude ect it's the same as I would have went faster with n20 turbo ect. I go to see what my street car can do and that's what it dose. Beside every other car I raced was in the same da I was and was affected the same as me. Pleas don't mistake this as me saying the lt1 is a better motor than a ls1. It's not the ls is a better motor and I have no problem saying that in fact if I had the extra cash I would be driving a c5 not a c4. I will say the lt1 is a great motor thow and I have no regret in buying this car, well mabe a little the opti dose suck.
