Default Bolt on C5 vs. 03 stage 3 roush mustang.

I was on my way home from drill last night and when I went through a green stop light a red mustang with windshield banners was turning right, he pulled out right behind me. I only got a glimpse of it, so I had no idea what it was. So we drive along about 3 or 4 miles and the car in front of me is turning left, so they have to stop. At this point I decided I would get on it when the car in front turned to see if the stang was game or not. Granted at this point I still do not know what it is or what it has done to it.
So I get on it, and he wasnt expecting it. So I just kinda figured it was a v6er with some gay *** stickers. Well he then tries to do a ricer flyby, I dont see what he is doing until it is too late, so I quickly drop to third just as he hits about where my rear bumper is. So he gets around me, but by this time I matched speed and pulling right with him, having to throttle to keep a safe distance as I was closing on him. So he slows back down, and I decide to gonna pass him back, and see if he tries to keep me from passing.
About a 1/2 mile up the road, we hit a long straight stretch. I gear down to third and pass, sure enough he tries to keep me from passing. That did not work out for him. So we cruise on up the road, with him trailing me. I know there is a double lane on the hill up the road, I hate to pull a roll race on a hill, esp from 60. lol. However, we hit the hill and its a clear double lane. I merge over into the slow lane, he stays left. He gets beside me and I gear down to third once again.
I goose it a couple times to let him know Im good to go, and so he would go. I wanted to give him the hit because I wasnt sure if I honked it off if he would know what was going on. So he gears down and punches it, puts a fender on me before I mash the pedal. I run out third and powershift fourth. by this time I have about a car and a half on him and was pulling HARD so I let out of it. It was refreshing to find something other than just a bolt on GT to run. Its been getting hard to find runs these days, so it was nice to score a random kill on a supercharged car.

My mods are:
01 vette with ls6 intake
longtube headers
high flow cats
Billy boat catback
cold air
Tune

I tried to put them in, notice the long spaces after some sentences. however, the tab would never show up.

NIce kill. Screw Roush's. They are over priced slow and not worth it.

right now I cant no lift shift because it sends it into a random misfire frenzy, so I have to slow power shift (if that makes sense.) I really wish I could figure this misfire out. It would have been more of a puppy kicking if I could no lift shift.

Good kill!

Roush's look badass, even if they aren't killer in drag races. Does anyone know what kind of power you could get out of a Stage 3 if you maxed out the stock blower? I never see modded ones.

The new stage 3 is a different story. YOu can get to about 650-700whp maxing the blower out with also have LT's and such.

Older ones 450whp was pushing it on a stock bottom end.

Can the stock blower actually get a 2V to 450 rwhp? I know the bottom end of the motor would probably be tapped at around that point, but that's pullied Cobra territory. Isn't it the same blower as a stock Cobra?

Good question on the 2v. I as thinking 05-10 versions. But you figure you port the blower and add a pulley as small as a 50cent piece plus bolt ons and some meth sure. Or maybe a hit of spray. LOL

It would be incredibly hard to get a stock bottom 2v to 450rwhp. Maybe with a double power adder. Everyone I know that had a 400rwhp supercharged 2v the bottom end came apart.

Yeah it gets a little more exhausting to read when it's all one megagraph . I was looking for a cliff's notes version at the bottom, but no luck lol. It wasn't THAT long though lol.

Yeah indents don't work here. You have to hit "enter" once more to allow for an extra space between paragraphs.

^^Like I did right there ^^

this^^^^^^

however. there are exceptions that nobody can explain. some 2001-2004's have handled more power for longer.

in the end they are all one detonation incident from blowing up. 425rwhp is the magic number for blow ups. 12psi.
