Default Got smoked by 2 1/2..

Just completed a baby cam install on my lt1 a few months ago and finally got around to getting my nitrous and cam tune. I picked up 18hp and 22tq on the swap. Cam is a .505lift 220dur. Remaining mods are in my sig. To gauge how it runs as I do mods, I use my buddies 03 terminator. His mods include full suspension with drag shocks in the rear. Ported blower with 2.81 pulley, X-Pipe, cat delete, Single chamber Magnaflow exhaust, K&N cone, Tunercat and data logged.

With no juice he put 2 1/2 cars on me from 40 to 110. From the dig on a 50 shot I smoked the tires all the way through 1st and let off. But he holed me by half a car in the first 100 feet.

Anybody know what these Fords put to the ground, what they quarter and trap at. His weight is 3630 with driver. Now I feel I should have gone bigger on the cam.

Stock between 360-385 usually. Pully tuned ported blower could be anywhere from 450-490ish maybe a little higher but i doubt it.

Cruised Youtube trying to find a ported Cobra, seems they run anywhere from 11.0's to 12.0's depending on driver and tires. I guess no matter what cam I would have chosen I am doomed to death. Looks like I'll need a healther dose of nitrous or a stout stroker to hang with him these days.

My brothers '03 cobra with a pulley and ported kenney bell and tune did 500 HP at the wheels. I dunno the type of dyno but it was pretty impressive.

Your LT1 with a 125-150 shot should walk his ported cobra.

Umm They are underrated at 390/390 but the hp is more around 420-430 stock.

Prior to his blower port, exhaust and new tune I fendered him from the dig on a 100 shot. After these new mods to his Cobra, I doubt I could hang on his bumper squeezing 150. I guess we'll find out tomorrow, we're going to make the 3 hour drive to San Antone for Friday night test and tune. Kinda worried about popping the motor, so I guess I'll limit myself to the 100 jets. 160 mile walk home would suck, of course the towing bill would suck worse. Any predictions on what ours cars will run.

Neither car has been on a track but I think I'll benefit more from a prepped track. I should be able to leave on full stall and bring the nitrous in at 3000rpms

Actually the ported pullied cobras can put down up to 550 without opening the motor. My car is running out of fuel out 5200rpms and putting down 490/530@18psi. Which was on pull number 13 heatsoaked.

Depends on the port job and what's done to the rest of the car. There's a couple running 9s and a bunch running tens with ported cobras. But those aren't full weight cars either. Most cobras with my setup pending driver, tires and track will run anywhere from 10.8x-12.xx

I feel lucky I stuck as close as I did.

had to have been on a mustang dyno...kb cobras on a bad day put down 550-560 on a conservative tune on a dynojet.

Check out loyd Elliot or Advanced Induction for your cylinder heads. You should be able to take full advantage of your cam and then some.
