It wasn't intended to look like anything, it was intended to perform. That's a tuned length intake , they spent a good amount of time on the dyno figuring out what length of piping the motor liked the most.

Apparently it works...regardless of how it looks. Form follows function.

I agree. Like colder air from outside of the engine bay would be beneficial. What a joke.

Unaware, you guys are very unaware.

It's not the cold air, its the length and diameter of the intake that makes the difference. Believe it or not, my buddies gone from a turd intake to a velocity stack on that same intake and picked up 4whp without touching the intake piping. If you guy's new anything about all motor honda's you'd know what im talking about. Different length intake's effect the engine differently.

From being on this forum ive noticed little details don't matter to most member's maybe that's why. "BRO A 2.5 EXHAUST WILL FLOW PERFECT FOR 500+" yet its a restriction on an instsy winsty honda motor. Go figure. Coming from the honda all motor world every little bit counts. Ima apply that to my fbody.

I didn't realize you could validate the effectiveness of RAM AIR on a Dyno...just have had fans the increased airflow as the car was accelerating to equal the same flow and pressure the car would see on the road.

You do realize that he isn't talking about ram air, right?

Let's not forgret, the car was dyno'd on separate days and the intake was not the only change between the two runs. We assume it was the same Dyno?

I'm gonna guess the owner calling it "ram air" was a misnomer. Tuned length intakes do work though.
