I agree..maybe wrong choice of words on my part, but I have seen threads go down hill pretty quick. In some instances, the main topic is not even discussed anymore. Instead, it becomes more of either a personal or vehicle brand insult thread.

Btw. Im with the 94camaro guy with the black c5z06. 5.0 is slow yo!
Truth be told is it would be a hard decision between a new ss camaro and 5.0 for me. Like the styling and the slightly more upperclass feeling of the ss, but theirs no denying that a 12.7 at 113 is faster than a 12.9 at 111 mph any day of the week.
Honestly.... Isnt a stock 5.0 and stock 2001 z06 a dead even quartermile wise? If so than thats pretty badazz

If it were up to me I'd go with a challenger srt8. I don't care if it's heavy as hell. I'd have it H/C/Turbo soon after owning it. Those cars are sexy bitches.
As for the turbo viper thing Killemall. If you go with a decent system, the idea is that you can grow the turbo setup over time. You can run a stock bottom end pretty safely to about 8psi and once that gets boring, pull the block, forge it, drop compression, up the boost and blam you are sitting at those higher horsepower numbers that some guys are. You can only go so far NA without spray.

My guess is what the Viper owner meant is that everyone else's expectations would be raised too high if they knew he had a TT Viper and would assume it is making 1,000+rwhp like all the other built to the hilt ones. And because he doesn't want to sink the money into building the bottom end right away to handle the power many would be disappointed that it isn't putting down the power that all the other TT Vipers are putting down.

I realize the potential they have. Great cars. Pretty sure Lethal Performance took a perfectly setup bolt-on car into the 10's, which is bad ***... But since then, it seems as though most new 5.0 owners just think they have a 10 second car with basic bolt-ons because lethal did it with their full bolt-on, tuned (IIRC it was a really aggressive one), full suspension, and slicks/skinny setup and most importantly, the driver mod. Areguements over the 5th gen/5.0 are dumb. It comes down to whoever has the bigger wallet and driving skills. Ohioborn just thinks 5.0's cant lose to 5th gens. Read some of his other posts.

As for the rest of your post. You ever hear the saying "Don't feed the trolls"? Well if Ohio was trolling then how about beating people like that using verified technical information and common sense rather than appearing ignorant and childish in return. I know that acting like mature adults may be a departure for some on performance car forums but I have seen it happen on occasion. Damned if it don't work! The craziest thing, I know right?!?

Doesnt work. Tried. Anything but the new 5.0 is slow and a waste of money according to Ohioborn. My statements were things he said about 5th gens. I'm sure others who witnessed his trolling realized that.

Never said that if it wasn't a 5.0 it was slow. Well less it's a 5th gen. Lol. I would take a C6Z over a 5.0 sure. I then would procharger it at least. Hell take a new GTR also over a 5.0. But I can't afford a new one of either of those. And simply don't like buying used. Don't want a car some one else has beat the **** out of.

I watched the video and noticed that the blue car was really a 5th gen Camaro with the West Coast Customs Mustang 5.0 appearance package. A lot of 5th Gen Camaro owners are tired of all the attention, and are doing this conversion so they are able to be less distinctive and able to see themselves coming and going.

I guess this is whats kinda killing me. The way you say that youd take a z06 or gtr over your 5.0 almost seems as if they are even comparable.
Maybe Im just pissed off or Im reading more into your post then there is but I often get the feeling that to you these cars are comparable.
Forget all the **** youve read about modded this and that and lets stick with the facts.
Gtr 86k plus and 11.2 at 124 mph
Z06 76k plus and 11.4 at 126 mph
5. 0 33k plus and 12.6 at 114 mph
Your talking 50k cheaper and 10 plus mph slower
A gtr or a z06 would walk away from 50-150 mph that it wouldnt even be considered a race.
10-12 mph is simply massive. Most 7 psi supercharger set ups on a otherwise stock car only gain 9-11 mph in quartermile speed.
Most head and cam set ups on an otherwise stock car only gain 6-8 mph
Cam and bolt ons 4-6 mph
Bolt ons 2-4 mph
Point Im trying to make is just because some shop fully built a mustang to run a 10 second pass useing every bolt on suspension and tuneing/gearing/tire trick in the book does not mean its at all comparable.
You stated that your car was 450 rwhp with I belieave h/c and bolt ons and ran what a mid 11.
Was your mph compareable to the stock 124-128 mph trapps that the z06 and gtr run?
Maybe Im just crazy but I have to just cringe and chuclchuclke at the same time when even a GT500 is compared to a z06 or gtr... Let alone a 5.0.
Prove me wrong and show my lack of knowledge about these 5.0s. Show me some videos of bolt on and tuned 5.0s trapping 124 plus mph and hanging with stock gtrs and z06s on roll races.

pretty sure he did the 11sec pass with just bolt ons. and I doubt he thinks they are even on the same level or comparable just one of the only cars he'd take over his 5.0
