I posted up facts against your bull ****... And that is the reply you have. Makes my day honestly sweetie.
I've posted up facts too and you go off like a bulimic teen aged girl on the rag who just got called fat. Insecurity at it's finest.

Everything about you is better than me huh? LOL there must be a picture of you in the dictionary next to the words ''arrogant'' and ''ignorant. You're pathetic, dude.

Not everyone takes a "save every dollar" mentality when modding their car. I'm talking about what CAN be done, just like Lemons.

If you throw nitrous into the equation I could have an 11 second setup for next to the price of dirt.

Mind you the whole car is under 9 thousand dollars.

I am just starting to build my z28 that I bought. I cant get close to doing it as cheap as the grand prix.

FYI.. my grand prix stomps my close to stock m6 ls1.
First off, Fbodys are for the most part cheaper then Vettes to mod, that's a given. Ok, I have approx. $5k in my C5 excluding the wheels. Heck it was $800 in parts to swap the clutch. It makes 500hp, will run 11's and trap 120+, gets 33-34mpg highway (I checked multiple times), reliability and drivability are absolutely great. I'd like to see your GTP even come close to it in a race.

For the love of ****, man, chill out. The guy didn't say his GTP was superior to Vettes or that it could kill equally modded ones. Pretty sure he was talking about stock Vettes, and low 12's WILL kill a stock C5 Vette pretty badly and will kill pretty much any stock Vette besides a C6 Z06 or a ZR1. Why does everyone get so defensive the moment someone talks about what it cost to get their W-body to run XX.XX in the 1/4 mile?

I could have went with a bigger cam and probably met my goal but after LTs/Tune I should be bottom 12s with any kind of traction.

I can't really compete in the 'under 9 grand thing' as I bought the car 6+ years ago and it was 16K at the time. I doubt this pissing match is even worth having to be honest... it's dirt cheap to get an LS1 into the low 12s/high 11s area... if I wanted to do it for under a grand I would just toss a 150 shot on and call it a day.
Thats way unrealistic in regards to camshaft swap prices.

Years ago I could say a Foxbody but my god people ask a crap load of money for those things

Unrealistic? Did you see the cam I put in? What do you THINK a cam swap should cost?

It's faster than your Grand Prix ya ******* tool. Post a pic of your 2002 Z28 to prove me wrong. Have an moderator or admin check his IP address against mysticz28's IP. You'll find it's the same, about 35 miles west of Norfolk, NE. Unless he's using a proxy.

300 for a camswap?
Pushrods, new springs,LS2 timing chain, cam and a tune does not equal 300 bucks. You need fluids, gaskets etc... Sometimes a cam swap if its big means new injectors too as well as LS6 oil pump in an older car too.. You saying 300 bucks for cam swap in a LS1 is way unrealistic. Hell many cams are MORE than $300-mine was. Thats a Furytype post.

LOL so your going to argue with me about what I stated I paid to do my cam swap? I may understand where fury is coming from now.

Cam, springs were 200 shipped and I bought trick flow 7.425 pushrods for 100.00, if you want to count the two 45 cent dowel rods used to hold up the lifters I believe I went a little over the 300.00 mark. Technically I didn't need the pushrods so u could have pulled it off for 200.00

Didn't need to change things needed for a much bigger cam but I clearly didn't get the gains you would with a much bigger cam.

You can argue though... I know what I paid.

Repression of homosexual desires usually manifests itself in this manner. Do yourself a favor and just accept it... you'll feel a lot better.
