Your average modded GTP/Regal is faster than than most Mach1s, including yours
Bro, your average modded GTP is a 3.4 pulley with colder spark plugs, a hot air intake, ubend delete and mufflers.

That's probably slower than stock. Don't think your average GTP is a low-mid 13s @ 105-106, which is what most stock Machs go. A modded Mach (with gears, intake etc.) will take a 3.2 pulley/cammed/intercooled GTP to hang. Thats's not exactly average.

actually cammed/intercooled GTP's run 11's with traction..full weight. and trap in the 112-115 area..no gear only mach 1 would hang with that..

if the op had an IC this story would be a lot more believable..

what world do you live in? ive watched full bulton cammed ported gtps be lucky to hit mid 12's, i have yet to see a gtp without nitrous or turbo at full weight break 11's

I know a couple of guys around with full bolt on, cammed, pulleyed, setups that struggle to do mid 13's and make no more then 300whp.

again...bad drivers. ive seen gtp's with nothing more than a pulley swap, pcm. air filter and down pipe run mid 13's.

the op's car should be in the high 12's if he can drive and if his tune is good. still no where near quick enough to WALK a bolt on LS1 by 6 cars from a roll but thats about what he should run..

Uhh yeah maybe a 2.6" pulley, full size IC and weight reduction.

Your basic pulley, cam, shorty IC is not going anywhere near 11s...they'd be lucky to be in the mid-high 12s.

Plus, my response was that towards 'average modded GTP beats most Mach1s, even slightly modded ones". I don't think a GTP running 11s @ 115 is an average modded GTP. That right there is a straight maxed out M90 GTP.

I'm glad I left the grand prix scene when I did, these guys are getting delirious with their times. It seems that GTPs get faster and faster with the same basic mods as they age.

you dont know anything about L67s so quit acting like you do. maxed out M90 GTPs are in the 10s trapping 125+. high 11s is not uncommon at all for full weight cam/full size IC'd cars. the ''shorty intercoolers'' are junk and get heat soaked after 1 or 2 WOT pulls. mid 12s with that pos intercooler would be pretty good IMO. theres a HUGE difference between the short stack IC and a full size.

as for mid 13s with simple bolt ons, heres just 1 example.

Ok kid, I got my first GTP in 2000 and have seen what those can do for 8+ years.

maxed out M90 GTPs are in the 10s trapping 125+. high 11s is not uncommon at all for full weight cam/full size IC'd cars.
As much as I liked that car and respect what it can do, you're straight up delirious.

You took one point, which was made quite clearly, and turned it into whole buncha BS. No sense in arguing with someone like you. No wonder that scene went to **** after 2005.
