Is his clutch giving out then? listen yourself in the beginning of the race: that's either a shot to hell clutch or shot clutch bands in a auto. So I assume your truck traps in the 116-120mph range? < Just a shot in the dark as I'm in the dark about your truck weighs, what engine is in it, what tonnage, 2wd/4wd etc.

well it was defiantly a stick and i dont know about the clutch either way for all of the hype about the car and around the car (30+ people swarming the car b4 the race drooling all over it ) it was a disappointment i was expecting a better race for sure. my truck trapped 119 the last time i went out weighs in right about 5000 lbs ,LQ9,AWD, full trim silverado ss.

How much power did that skyline make? Skylines only make 286hp stock. Also people drool over the car because its a rare car in the US. Just because its not as fast as your truck a straight line doesn't change that.

Why is this a surprise? Mid 90s Skylines wouldn't even run with a stock LS1 car. You probably should put Skyline R33 not GTR, it misleads people to believe the new GTR.

not sure how much power it makes, he was claiming that it had over 800hp ... lol thats what he was told by previous owner, obviously that wasnt the case it would be lucky to have half of that imo but i dont know allot about imports so i could be wrong.
i just thought it was going to be a lil' faster that is all, i wasnt trying to slam the car ... it was a very nice looking exotic import if it wasnt for the right hand drive i wouldnt mind owning one.

Sounds like he's lying. I saw one of those under hood pics and it seemed more like he had half of that. I'm guessing your Silverado is in the 700whp range at that amount of boost.

I doubt that, he said LQ9 so we're left to assume it's a stock 6.0, I'd guess he's 5xx's. MAYBE knocking down 6xx with H/C/I. Keep in mind when you say whp it's to all 4.

Nice kill! Funny how everyone assumes just because it's a Skyline it will be SUPER fast. Like said previously they didn't make a crazy amount of power stock. Don't get me wrong they're nice cars and the rarity factor makes me want to own one. I've only seen one in person and it was an R33 GTS-T (RWD version).

Hopefully he can get any bugs worked out if he had them and you guys can get a rematch. Or at least find a tuner that is knowledgeable on those cars so you can find out a realistic number for what the car is making!

never been on any dyno but i would guesstimate it is around 600 to the wheels but that is a guess, some of you big racer guys isnt there a formula to find out ? 5000lbs ,119mph traps, awd .

He's pushing 14psi on a procharger and a 6.0. There are guys making in the 500's on 8psi on a 5.7L with the same blower.

Nice kill. That R33 wasnt making 400whp, let alone 800, judging by the way he got yanked. May have been a bad driver or bad clutch... who knows. Those cars are rare in the US because they are extremely difficult to import legally. Could have been a JDM 240sx with an expensive body kit lol.
