It's one thing what you trap. It's another thing on the highway. The camaro is going to pull harder at top speeds than that neon.

Not saying it didn't happen but he shouldn't of pulled that hard on an SS.

So even if he traps 110 thats still not going to pull away from a stock SS with a real driver. Ethier way good kill, I just suspect the guy was either taking it easy thinking you would not be a problem or he cant drive. Like was mentioned also, the faster the speed the more the SS would have a big advantage.

He may pull but not 4 cars unless camaro guy sucks or neon guy weighs 2300 pounds. Even then I have a hard time seeing that happening with 250 to the tire but as they say anything can happen on the street.........

Eh. It's a believable kill story. I drive an SR20DET/GT28RS 240SX @ 16 psi and it makes around 270whp, and those new camaros are absolutely no problem to walk by. But not by 4 cars.

Anyway good kill nevertheless!

LOL did you just say brake boost on a 1st gen stock srt turbo? hahaha, i had myself one of these, KILLED a c6 (base) and stis and what not... my car weighed 2500lbs with me in it, i had about 290-300 to the wheels at 21 psi (spike 30psi) stock turbo. I miss that old car, just came back up for sale in my area! i might go pick it up, i kept her sleeper looking too

My srt-4 was probably beat on daily from 32k until I sold it at 78k and never had problem, other than the syncro issue that they have and the damn boost leak issues.
unfortunately, i know a lot about these pieces of ****, 2.0 and 2.4 have the same head, therefor a stock srt turbofold will bolt right up.. i wouldnt ever go much over 7-8 psi on stock dohc internals though

and yes... 3rd gear synchro is ******* horrible in any srt lol

12.2 @ 111 mph in my gay neon at 16 psi.... you dont think itll pull from a piece of **** 5th gen? lol on the other hand, most 1st gens have a 180kmh limiter, unless you have the mopar/acr computer... ive had my neon up to about 260 with a 3.55 tranny and still had a couple hundred rpm to go...

Idk if it was driver or what but it was atleast 4 cars..he couldve sucked or it couldve been an automatic..too many factors to guess..and teg is right..mustang dynos read lower..my car pulls hard in 3rd and 4th so really not that hard to believe..especially since I watched it in my rear view

Trap speed is everything lol. If you trap 105 and I trap 110 I'm gonna pull on you pretty good.

Had to be a auto ss..no way you put 4 cars on a ls3 ss from a roll With a 270whp neon..

Your piece of **** neon running 111 is not going to pull a bone stock SS from a roll. I would say it would be a very even run and at higher speed you would get pulled.

yea if youre talking a 70mph maybe, and like you say it would be damn close at those speeds. but anything lower than that and youll pull enough on it to win by 120mph

2 of my best friends have new camaros. one has a 2011 6 banger, the other a 2010 v8. i've known woody(the guy with the v8) for nearly 25 years. he was thinking of getting a camaro, but kept finding excuses to not put out the money. then he saw my gt. that sealed the deal for him.

i've known gary for about 7 years. he's in cap with me. he's a firefighter, emt, and just took over a local cap squadron. either one of these guys would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it, without even so much as a second thought.

i personally don't like neons. they rattle, they vibrate, their brakes squeal when there's nothing wrong, they knock the fillings out of your teeth, they leak oil, they're agonizingly slow(usually), they're kinda ugly, and they're friggin TINY. but i don't fault people for what they drive. i had gotten into a situation for awhile that i was having to drive a 93 geo prism. and even worse, it was ******* RED. i hate red cars. lol

i kinda like the looks of the new camaros. the only thing i've seen on them i don't much like, are the tail lights, and on the zl1, i don't like those goofy cut outs outboard below the bumper.

lol..ur right hendrix..getn in the boost in that lightweight lil neon does make me happy..puts a big smile on my face..I guessed 2700lbs because I have a full interior and alot of crap in the trunk..prolly closer to 2600 but alot lighter than the SS..I did brakeboost which gave me a small jump..that could have accounted for atleast one car length..keep in mind I kept up with a new boss from a roll and they would skullf*ck a new SS so it seems about right to me..Im running my lil dd in the quarter at the rock at the end of march..so we'll see what it traps and runs..Im guessing mid/low 12s.

Haters...... Yea It does sound hard to believe your neon with the specs you mention beat the ss by 4 cars... Even if it was an auto on a roll that's a good distance. I would think you got 2 on him and he let off

ah..they can knock neons all they want..but you can pick them up for 1000 to 1500 all day long..do a swap and have a hell of a sleeper dd which is what I did..looked like 4 to me but the point is a kill is a kill..I pulled him..end of story

i just called the guy that bought my neon from the other douchebag i sold it to.. going friday to pick her back up. thanks to this thread. cant let my first car ever, get away from me! shes sticking with me for life! 12 second car for 1500 bucks cash!

and btw, 1ltcap, you forgot to add, they are the best handling FWD car in the world to this day i believe (maybe that new regal gs beats it), but it is the only FWD car that can pull a full G stock from the factory on race slicks. they are great fun on the road course
