95 neon vs 10SS
95 neon 2.4 stratus block basically stock w srt4 turbo 5spd megasquirt tuned 250hp mustang dyno prolly 2700lbs at the moment
10SS STOCK
Just pulled up to a 4way stop in time to see a black ss w white stripes go flying by..luckily he was going my way so I rushed to catch up to him.
Once behind him I knew there was a straightaway coming up so I eased up near his bumper downshifted to 3rd and started to brakeboost just before the straight.
There was a bit of distance between him and the cars in front of him so I proceded to pass, shifted to 4th and pulled in front of him. Now that I had his attention as he ran up on my bumper..I waited for the next straight, which was quite long.
Coming out of the curve onto the straight bout 65mph I brakeboost in 4th behind a car(wouldve spun in 3rd) and take off with the camaro on my tail. The longer I stayed in it the further he faded in the distance. He stayed in the thottle judging by the steady fade till the top of 4th gear, then he let off as I went to 5th as he was about 4 cars back.
Its a lame kill but a kill nonetheless so I wanted to post up..didnt expect much from the SS and didnt get much. Lets face it..the ls3 is choked in such a heavy vehicle..and even though he was alone in the car thats still atleast a 1000lb advantage

idk i paid 700 bucks for my dd 1998 dodge neon it was rolled on the highway before i bought it, they flipped it back over and it has been drivin ever since averagin over 40 mpg all day every day. pretty good car right there if ya ask me and every other working person these days in this economy. my first dodge neon (now the turbo gutted one) took me across the country and back while gettin the crap beat out of the engine without changin the oil for 18k miles all while havin the "famous" head gasket leak without missin a beat. i could keep goin if ya want.

In a previous statement, you said you have an srt-4 engine in your neon? a srt-4 engine is 2.4 dohc turbo not 2.0, so i am confused, you have an srt-4 turbo on a 2.0?
My srt-4 was probably beat on daily from 32k until I sold it at 78k and never had problem, other than the syncro issue that they have and the damn boost leak issues.

i have a srt-4 turbo on a 420a from a dodge avenger.. it faces backwards so the turbo sticks out of the hood 5 inches... i have a stratus 2.4 for it but lost interest when it was only just as fast as my solstice gxp and never got around to puttin the engine in.. should just crank the boost to the moon and blow it for fun lol.

Nice kill. M6 5th gens are pretty strong from a roll, at least mine is. The problem that most 5th gens have is the people driving them, most are newbies and don't have a clue.
