I agree with you though, isn't the max for the oem d-series rods something in the 250whp range?


My tuner's old ALL OEM (no ARP hardware and OEM headgasket) GSR made 4xxwhp for 3 years before going because of a valve dropping (cylinder walls, ringlands looked great when he tore it apart).

Have you seen the PFC hatch? Probably one of my favorite stock motor setups.

167k miles all oem motor running consistent mid 10s at 138. Before anyone says oh but its gutted blah blah blah the class qualifications stated that this car had to weigh in at atleast 2400lb's to pass inspection, which is around 200lbs more than what it should weigh from factory (with a/c p/s all that bullshit).

LoL your preaching to the wrong crowd bud. The cool car people appreciate any well built machine.

But in all honesty most Hondas run like **** and well built ones are rare. I see tons of people making **** tons of power but their cars never run well when it comes time to put it down.

Yeah man that's what im saying. Honda's appeal to broke *** teenagers who can't afford to do anything but making their cars look "cool" or don't know any better.

You know how many slow *** F-body's there are down here? Basically because no one knows wtf their doing and they are all autos. If i would've went by that i would've never bought my car.

If you didn't know **** about these cars would you know how to properly stall/setup? Like i said no one knows wtf there doing with these cars down here.

People just get em and spray the **** out of em with stock everything. Bullshit un efficient setups.

Nothing wrong with a auto for the track....not what I want when I am DDing, but **** I can't wait to eventually put the 4l80e in my car.

??? my friend had a stock everything a4 car on a 100 shot and went 11.9s all day long. it was the dumbest, easiest, fool-proofest setup ever. car trapped 117 lol. stock everything.

****, if I buy another F body, it will be auto, and the FIRST thing I'm doing is a 4k stall and gears. Mixed with a smallish cam...****, there was a guy here with that set up going 11.5x with a 1.4x 60', trapping 115 or so, stock 241s and a reverse split kinda small cam. on the bottle is MOVED.

i know all about that ****. my bolt on a4 car went 12.0s on a bad 60' and bent tq arm lol.

they are no fun on the street, though. this my car is slower at the track, but traps more and is WAY more fun to drive. i spend a LOT more time on the street than i do at the drag strip.

That was part of the reasoning for getting this one vs a auto back in 07, and also why I wont be going auto at least until it's on a 250 shot.

lol that's actually really good. I dont know wtf these guys do but everything down here is half *** as ****. One of em with full bolt ons and a 100 shot lost to a buddies stock turbo bolt on EVO that ran 11.7 at like 116-117.

Yeah exactly i dont really plan to go to the track much maybe once in a blue moon to see what it traps but thats about it.

that way we can bust their asses on the street. like my bolt-on m6 car creeping away from a procharged 2v mustang making 400+ on the dyno. lol wtf he says.

Sounds like my run with a paxton 2v. Said he made 490 (700 at the crank LOL), I was only making 403 at the time since the tune wasn't finalized, and put about a car and a half on him from 60-110 on the highway on the way to a car show.

Say what? They are easy cars to mod even without tuning. Shiftpoints with a stall is the hardest part

I cant wait to start moding my car! To be honest out of all the civics ive owned the funnest to drive has been my formula by far, i actually want to take my car everywhere lol!

To be honest im just going by what i see, down here everyone does **** half ***. Like a buddy of mine had a LS3 T/A with a big cam in it and ported ls3 heads (done by who knows what, and not even flowbenched) untuned he had the OEM ls1 injectors maxed out and he would race randomly till it detonated and knocked a rod out the side of the block. I know...retarded..
