MY DREAM COME TRUE! 2004 911 turbo kill! Warning. Long post. Results on bottom. Heres the story:
So I've done some good mods including a 100 shot and always wanted to beat a 911 turbo. After all the mods have been done, Ive been just looking for one of those so desperately forever as my goals were to beat those freaking bad *** cars.
So I was cruising with my friend in my car and he was in his completely stock 02 Z06. We spot a 911 turbo at a drive thru and pass by revving our engines LOUD. I didnt really expect him to follow us so we left right away. The Z06 was in front of me and happened to catch the green light while i stopped at the red light. Then the next thing I know is the 911 turbo lines behind me at the light. So I call my friend and ask him to hurry his *** as he always wanted to know if he could beat one of those. We finally drive by to another red light and the 2004 911 turbo is side by side at the red light waiting on green. I was freaking out because of his 4WD so I hit a couple of buttons on the NX switch opening the bottle and arming it. I did not want to go WOT on first gear as it would activate the nitrous and if it hooks it will probably shatter my 10 bolt. Light goes green and I get a very small head start. Then I saw him jumping in on me HARD and I didnt want to lose so I said the HECK with the 10 bolt! I floored it on first at around 4500 rpms and passed him by 3 car lengths by the time I hit 3rd gear. The street was curvy so we went the highway for better safety.
Race 2:
The Z06 followed and asked the 911 turbo to race from a 2nd gear roll as the Z06 owner had major traction problems in 1st gear. So they are lined up in the 3 lane highway with me being 1 car length in front on an empty lane watching them on my right side. They smash the pedal down and as soon as the Z06 pulls the 911 turbo and comes to my rear bumper i slam the pedal down and the nitrous kicks in. Thats when we felt like being in a road course with 3 cars side by side racing on the interstate at 4AM lol. The Z06 gets him by a care length and a half at the end of his 4th gear and im flying in front doing about 150! So I beat them but the race was not still not perfectly setup fairly to my advantage.
Race 3:
The Z06 decides to go home after his 911 turbo kill and I decide to race once more from a 2nd gear roll to get a closer comparison on my cars performance against a 911 turbo. I tried to race him from a roll with us both slightly accelerating so i can make sure he doesnt bitch about the turbo lag. We go for it and by the time I hit 4th gear I was 4 car lengths ahead if not more (couldnt count was going too fast and objects in the mirror seemed to disappear lol).
This was the best race I ever had in my entire life. the 911 turbo owner was super cool and also let me drive his car! I could not believe how light his clutch pedal was! His shifter was freaking awesome too.
Ive also raced my friends 02 Z06 on spray before. Here are the results up to date:
1) Me vs. Z06 from 2nd gear roll on spray to mid 4th gear = 4 car lengths of a lead. WIN!
2) Z06 vs. 911 turbo from 2nd gear roll to end of 4th = Z06 wins by car length and a half.
3) Me vs. 911 turbo from 2nd gear roll to beginning of 4th = 4 car lengths of a lead if not more. WIN.
Man I loved the comments the 911 turbo made about my car. He was like "******* american cars" lol!
I later took the 911 turbo for a drive showing him what my nitrous setup can do. I told him ill floor it in 2nd and he can hit the button whenever. So he hits the button and it throws him back to his seat. Small guy wasnt used to the high torque pull
So far Im EXTREMELY happy about my cars performance. It has always been a dream for me beating 911 turbos. I feel absolutely fantastic about living the dream

yeah.. i thought slapping 3:73s on my setup might let me be able to beat a 911 turbo naturally aspirated but I doubt that now.
Gotta love beating him from a dig! man i love my nx kit.

man, you sounded really amped... cuz you made very little sense 
One thing though... a STOCK Z06 shouldn't be able to beat a 911 turbo... not saying bs... but just shouldn't happen with equal drivers...
99... get a cam, and you should be able to take one...

haha... oops... crap... I think I confused your setup with someone else's setup... my bad... What do you run again? I thought it was like low-mid 12's which seems kind of slow for your setup. I am probably making a mistake again, but if we are bench racing here... you get tires and you get one from a dig... That is what I was talking about. Roll, as you said, would be much harder with an A4.

GTO97MR, thanks for the response. Yeah those 911 turbos are too fast. I would think now that a completely stock fbody with a 150 shot (making 150rwhp) would barely be able to take a 911 turbo from a roll. I have to admit I was worried during the race (because i spent lots of money on it!) although I still beat him by a good 4 car lengths if not more

99 LS1, let me know how you did.. your cam specs are just like mine. Are you going to run on the stock 17" F1s? keep us posted. Make sure you mention the 60ft times as well.
