the fastest v8 powered cars have run 3 to 4 second quarter miles. What is the fastest a 4 cylinder has ever ran. 6.77 is the world record if im not mistaken? That is the difference in potential between 8 and 4 cylinders. Fact is its CHEAP to take an old civic and make it fast. There isn't much regard about reliability of it staying together because they are so cheap.
there are v8's pushing 7000 horsepower. we wont even get into the crazy amount of torque they make. but im willing to bet one of its cylinders will pump out more TQ than any 4 cylinder in existence.

I'll agree with the sub 400whp statement. < 350whp on a car with a good suspension and a fast spoolin turbo would be a blast on a road coarse. I may end up going that direction.

I'll agree with the sub 400whp statement. < 350whp on a car with a good suspension and a fast spoolin turbo would be a blast on a road coarse. I may end up going that direction.

). Around here the dsm crowd is pretty cool. Although not very big.

a decently put together honda will be pretty damn hard to beat from a roll. My first race in the formula, was against an h22 swapped civic. he was around 400ish hp on pump gas and over 500 on race gas. I raced him with 4xxwhp and with him brake boosting he would pretty much stay next to me from a 50 roll, and I could hear his tires screaming even at 100+ mph. I walked him on the way top end because he was pretty much out of gear. Granted it was a 2dr car that had the interior gutted, it was still fast for only a 400hp car. Mine was 3700lbs at the time and 520ish hp.

Cool DSM? Wait a minute...have the rules changed or some ****? I remember a dsm guy saying because he took out his wastegate he had unlimited boost and 500+ to the wheels....everyone iv met from the DSM crowd is like that lmao
