Let's keep it civil. Most of the SVT guys are cool. Post rationally.

Since when do we not give props to other cars? I mean, hell, look at me, I drive a freaking VW, and I get plenty of respect here...

They will not dare mention its name, I was just hoping for saying the killed one, nothing. I think some of you guys should go post some kills over there because some of them have some terrible attitudes. Whenever some one posts about beating an LS1 they make up some lame excuse.

It just seems like this place gives props to cars when the deserve it, over there unless its a bowtie you get no respect. I guess we are so gracious because we never lose

How would you feel if you had a Heads/Cam LS1 F-body and still couldn't keep up with a Pullied Cobra? I wouldn't post about it either.

they have plenty of H/C ls1 in the tens. Does a pully swap get the cobras in the tens?

No joke, I drive a DSM and there seems to be plenty of respect for them, although they are a 4 banger

actually, on the whole, this place is full of people who seem to actually know **** about cars. you want a place full of fanboys, check out the srt-4 forums.

i'd like to know what thread he was talking about with the 96gt... i'm wondering if he made it up for effect.

Referring to a "heads/cam" LS1 is just too vague. There are H/C cars out there that literally run high 12's/low 13's. Then...there are some that hit high tens.

You might want to think again. Of course there are H/C LS1's that will dominate a pullied '03 Cobra too.

Yup, pretty much, H/C ranges from 390 (small cam/ stage I or II heads on an A4) to 470rwhp (sick combo on an M6).

It's safe to say the median range is anywhere from 405 to 450rwhp, with most around 420ish.

It's also safe to say that sprayin', H/C combos can crush many, many things, and give the most modded Cobras a run for their money.

There aren't many '03 Cobras in the 10's. There are TONS of LS1's running 10's or less.

if your h/c ls1 fbody/vette is in the high 12s/low 13s... you either can't drive a lick, are launching on bald tires inflated to 45psi, or... got lied to at the shop. i mean seriously, ls1 runs high 12s/low 13s off the showroom floor depending on year. if i dropped the cash for a good tuned h/c setup and didn't get into the high 11s/low 12s at the very least (Traction issues withstanding), i'd wonder where the hell my money went.

that being said, high 11s in a cobra is what... a pully, air filter, catback, and chip away? sounds pretty cheap and easy compared to a h/c ls1 setup (not counting inital price of the car obviously).

i love both ford and gm performance. i am very much looking forward to the 2006 cobra vs 2006 z06 wars. i'm hearing ~450hp out of both camps, and the cobra has a new chassis to bring to the table.

Actually, anywhere from low to high 11's with those mods depending on the driver.

yeah, the new cobras are rediculous... and I think a lot of guys on here would rather have one than an LS1/LT1, if they had the money to afford one... Personally, ill take one of each
