Two friends at work both have auto 5.0s with tvs blowers. With both of them running 10s they roll out pretty good.

The TVS is really a good blower. And VMP went mid 9's with it. But it falls on face aroudn 750whp and thats on race gas.

Interesting, the GM LS motors have made 820-830whp with a TVS 2300. Probably the displacement.

Not without a 4.0L whipple 20lbs boost and exhaust etc etc. Not the ported blower you want to do. And the 5.0 has made 800...They also did a test the 5.4 made less power actually then the 5.0 lb for lb of boost.

Wrong it made 800 and some change with room to grow. Did I say I was going to make 800 with a eaton? I would hope so it is 11:1 compression compared to 8:4:1

My 42 years of experience combined with 2 trips around the world, thousands of car guy friends and acquaintences and there rides, all have taught me that when someone is throwing around numbers they have yet to make, ESPECIALLY big numbers, is either invariably full of **** and never even finishes the build, or there build never hits the numbers they bragged it would, or they blow the engine trying to eek out the numbers they promised.

Either way automach is gonna be regretting all his bragadicio.

Where is this car, cause I have never seen one do it. If it was that easy people wouldn't be doing blower swaps to get 700+.

Um no. Comparing your car to what other cars have run in similar setup to yours is in fact also bench racing. If your car has not gone to the track, but you expect it to trap 125.... its bench racing. If i said... i expect to go 11.5 at 124....until i actually go to the track, and do it... its bench racing.

Bench racing - picture that guy on a football team who sits the bench 100 percent of the time but then takes credit for his team winning the game. Same principle works in cars.

But dont feel bad.. because everyone has at some point, been on the bench

I agree. And I even on band wagon hard. Seeing all the 5.0's go low-mid 10's blown and even 9's. 10's was easy. Mid 10's wasn't to hard. But now I've ran into a wall. My old tuner took me about as far as he could with some help from another tuner. They just don't have shifts down on the automatics. My tranny shifts good. But some guys are running a little quicker cause of better tranny tuning.

Exactly if expecting a certain et or trap when you go to the track is bench racing then everybody that has ever been to the track has bench raced.
