I love those cars.. 360 Modena is the same way to me. I don't care if its faster than everyone else... Looks great and turns heads.

Stock 13 GT500 > H/C/I/E/C/S/W/G 5th Gen SS

 

I would have liked to see the GT500 v SS for sure.
Good runs. R8 is still a nice car for what it is, but thats a hell of an SS build for all motor.

wow... we finally have what looks like a decently setup 5th gen and its not lined up against the GT500!? we coulda had a nice thread of arguments and excuses..

 

Big Cam, E85, High CR setup to pull 520.

No matter what R8 w/M6 is just ****. Its a good friend of mine so it was a friendly match up. It was still interesting to see domestics racing with the exotics.

As for the camaro, LG Motorsports built the car. It runs on pump gas w/g6x3 cam,for those that are wondering.

I think LG posted that cars build on camaro5, think its not even aftermarket casting heads if I remember correctly.

 

That's alot of people voicing the same comment, and I totally agree.
Normally I'd agree with you: stock GT500's trap high 120's and stock short block 5th gens with heads/cam/etc trap high 110's. This particular SS, though, appears to run extremely well and based upon the runs in the vid I would say the GT500 might only get out a car on it, if that. Also note the GT500 is jumping every race with the R8 while the SS wasn't.

Exactly what I thought: 412rwhp from a CAI/UDP/headers/muffler delete SS shows that there dyno is still as happily high reading as it always has been. So what it really means is that that SS is making probably 490rwhp on a average dyno if it's a M6. Guy must have alot of weight loss in it to run like it does.

 

He did say time to pull weight. I wonder how much. He dropped least 120lbs with the welds.
