Ran my buddys 03 cobra, pulleys, exhaust, apten ported blower, custom tuning, today.

Went from a 60-65 roll, got him by maybe 1/2 car by middle of 4th, and damned if I can't hear that blower noise gettin closer. Get into 5th and he's got me by 1/2 a car.

Fugggin Cobras are no joke.

Was sprayin a 75 dry at him, next time I will go bigger.

Awesome run, thats what makes this hobby fun.

 

I would not stand a chance with a Cobra with the mods I have.

what do you dyno and what does he dyno? how much did it cost him to get those mods?

 

Cobra just over 500 rwhp and don't recall rwtq. No dyno yet for me new set up. He is in cheap for mods. Ive got way more money tied up in mine.

 

why do you run from such a high roll? that is where a blower car will pull its best. need to run from a low roll so his boost wont be built up and you'll have time to pull away. atleast thats how i will run one if the guy will ever do it. can u believe he is scared to run me because he thinks i have gas. oh well maybe one day

The cobra uses an Eaton blower that makes full boost very early - way earilier then the ATI and vortech blowers we put on f-bodies. It probably wouldn't have mattered what speed they took off at.

 

Roots blowers have a ton of tq almost of idle. It may have been worse from a dig.

Good to run for fun, sounds like a nice strong pair of cars goin at it.
I have my sites on a couple real nice looking Cobra's in my area.
1 guy i see every now and then just smiles this little,you can't win ,smile at me .
1 of these times i will be going the right direction and try real hard to remove that little smile . I got a 150 shot just waiting for him. And the other 1 is a guy that comes to the dealership with his car . A plate that reads"ITFLYS",i have never talked to him but everyone tells me he is a really nice guy.
I just want to line up with his car to see who really FLYS .

I just want to see just how far up the MOD list a Cobra goes before i can't keep up anymore. Some of these cars are REAL mean.(Right, Unit 213)

If this guy is talking about racing broke7 (guy over at svtperformance.com), then I can see why he lost. He runs 11.2's at 123 or 124mph I believe. I don't recall exactly. He's going to spray as well. There can't be too many modded '03 Cobras in Anchorage Alaska.

 

I bet the number of Modded 03's in Anchorage, can probably be counted on 1 hand.
Has a good chance of being the 1 you mentioned,Dan. IMHO anyway. 123-124 is killer mph,PRE-spray at that. COOL.
