Default *Vid* G8 VS a Cammed GTO and a Maggie GTO

My G8 GT with ported stock heads, baby DOD cam and 2600 stall vs A M6 LS2 cammed bolt on GTO with some a little weight reduction, and a Maggied LS2 M6 GTO with a very rich tune.

all runs from 40-140. Held them both off until 120mph. May need to see about gettting the converter to lock in 4th now as I seem to hit a wall at 120 with my two ton brick.

M6 Ls2 GTO with some weight reduction, Cam, full catless exhaust 429rwhp

Not bad considering I weigh 400lbs more, but clearly high speed races don't bode well for me. For reference sake he didn't pull until we got just over 120.

The Yeti vs M6 LS2 GTO with maggie and full exhaust... 464rwhp on a very very very conservative tune...

Hard to say as I can't get my RPMs over 6000 on the dyno before the car commands the next shift. On the 1-2 2-3 shifts my car car shifts at 6600, but on the 3-4-5 shifts it is at 6400, so on the dyno I can't tell how much higher it would be before it immediately drops power to the next shift. At 6000 rpm it made 425rwhp. I assume it is probably somewhere around 435-440 through my stalled auto...

I could have it tuned to hold the gear in manual mode, but I like it the way it is for roll racing. Takes the delay out of manually upshifting after picking my gear.

My visit to the track the day before these runs I pulled 11.8s all day.

Does the guy in the GTO with the Maggie know that his hood popped open after he fell back in the video? His hood just starts creeping open in the 2nd video lol, coulda been a catastrophe.

nice vids and runs! Your car and mine when I was ported L92 heads/intake and mid sized cam with 3600 stall ran near identical times/mphs which sounds right :our engines were similiar, i had a bigger stall but you have a 6spd trans, with similiar weights since I'm a weigh as much as two guys.

Wow, that hood on the maggied GTO is scary. Tell that guy to either throw that thing in the trash and put the stocker back on, or get some hood pins ASAP!

And those GTO's both performed a bit disappointing for their mods. That magnacharged one especially. I would be upset if I made any less than 500 rwhp with that setup!

Great running G8 though. Shows what a good setup does compared to a few poorly setup ones.
