The boss is impressive and all for the liters. What evan has done is sweet. Not many other 5.0s are cruising around doing what his car does. BUT you can't compare it, the LS7 will perform that way out of the box without weight even being an issue. 450 whp stock in a 35xx-3600 is going to **** **** up. I mean **** guys have traped high 120s and low 130s with 3900lb cars that make 500-550whp. Extreme bench racing here but i see it being VERY common to see the LS7 Z28 going mid 120s+ full trim/weight NA.

Cool ******* story bro! No one gives a flying horse's patoot that your modded/stripped out Rustang could beat a stock, full weight camaro.

And where are you getting this ''LS3's dyno less in a camaro compared to a vette'' BS? They all dyno right around 370rwhp.

I agree 100%. I was actually hoping they did that... instead they went with direct injection.

Theres so much more you can do with variable dohc cams vs one cam in a push rod motor.

Does no one realize its going to be 3800lbs? My car weighs 3200lbs. And i guarentee i make more whp then a factory z28. Its well known the vettes put more power down then the fifth gens with the exact same power plant. My guess is the new z28 will roll around 410whp on my dyno considering the vettes make roughly 430-435whp on mine.
I think it will be a good run. Ofcourse the z28 would need to be modded. You would defiantly need to get it on video as well.

Like make less power still? GM makes engines with real displacement. Not some silly little 5.0 horse ****.

Doesn't the vette drivetrain kill off more power than the camaro drivetrain anyways?

Comparable to a fourth gen.. yes... but the fifth gens have one of the heaviest power absorbing drivetrains out there.

I think a vette puts down close to 380 or more with the 6spd. And about 370 with the a6?

Most people know that big blocks were way underrated back in the day. A 427 put down 430hp but was alot more than that.

Not to sure about that both cars have an IRS but the vette transmission is what usually robs the power IIRC?

**** now that i think about it swapping the IRS to an SRA in the camaro would drop like 100 more lbs. :x i don't see you have much luck against a well thought out z28 brah.

I think you guys are forgetting that the Z28 was made for the track not the strip. Main thing is this car will eat the boss and gt500 at a circuit. 1.05 Gs man putting them ponys back in place and we all thought the zl1 was a sick track car. Ford WILL have to put irs to even hang with one in the corners. Solid axle is old tech.

A solid axle swap isnt exactly an easy bolt on... now we are just getting into die hard race cars. And who is gonna buy a z28 and do all that to it... no one. You are more likely to find a Dietcoke car. At the end of the day, my car is still a stock longblock. Ive got about 20-25 more hp lined up for this without opening the motor up. So id love to run into a 500whp z28 on the road. I figure you will be able to pull 200lbs out of them fairly easily and at that point its gonna require some good money to go lighter. Its just a heavy chassis, period.

Always with the corners lol. I didnt exactly put bigs and littles on my car to hit a road course. I have 0 interest in beating anything through turns...And it looks like thats the case in the section with everyone else as well. Its all straight line racing on the street.

Its 3800lbs... SS was 3900lbs... ZL1 is 4100-4200lbs. Its as easy as google lol. All the information is right there in front of you.
