Vids: 1/2 mile Ga shootout - Me vs Ferrari F430 and Ls1 swap 280Z
Me and my family went to the Ga 1/2 mile shoot out, I had an issue with the spray, so had to have my tuner back it down and put it on the motor.
However I had a blast, and got to see some FAST cars and get some good runs in.
1st race, a GT3RS, i spun hard off the line in first lifted and spun some more, he was gone, I started to catch him but didn't in time, But he ran a 131.23 and I ran a 133.69. Go StockZ.
Next was a F430, i knew he had me on MPH but i was determined to give it my best effort, took off, hooked, I pulled him hard enough he didn't have time to come back, he was gaining, but it was not enough. The killer part was as i headed back to the starting line, i could hear people saying, "Dude thats the Camaro that out ran the Ferrari!!!" Heck yeah, I was stoked.
Then i came up on a 280Z with a LS1 swap, knowing he was way lighter, we went from a roll again, as I was worried about tracktion.
All three guys were super cool, so now the car is going to get the trans rebuilt and the motor and spray straightened out.
Good times.

It wasn't Tim Lynch's car (now a GT-R) that won the event. TSM won the forced induction with one of their other cars. The winning car did 203mph.
